    Hi John

So you really do wear long sleeves (lesson learned).

Looks like a really good day, the sun, the water and friends.

    Best,

    Matt

Fun times after cancer...thanks for the optimism! Issac put a damper on boating at Lake of the Ozarks but we still got in a family fish fry.

    Hey John,
So glad you are having such adventures....gives us all hope. I almost agree with Phrannie about wintering in Florida...but I love the snow and love the ice fishing we do ! Minnesota has had little snow these past winters....but can get pretty darn cold ! Use to fish in the open air, sitting on a bucket....never again ! Fish house nice and warm for this kid ! Thanks for sharing John ! Katie

    Long Sleeves....
You'll notice a lot of guys in those photos with long sleeves on.

Mine comes more form being lazy these days.... As hot as it gets and with sweating so much from drinking plenty of fluids...it's had to keep any sunscreen on.

    BTW ladies....

We men sweat, you delicate flowers perspire....LOL.

    Hey hwt,

Heard there was a newby from St. Louis posting. You must be it. Sorry I missed that you were from St. Louis or would of sent you an earlier welcome. I had a place at the Ozarks for 15 years, yes a longtime "weekender". Sold my place down there right before my treatment started. Tx ended 2 1/2 years ago for me and still out fishing and boating as much as possible (still waiting for an invite from Skiff tho)

A late welcome to the site! Hope you are doing well.

    Nothin' better.....

Well known fact, nothin' better than sitting on your boat visiting with friends........ Unless of course, you have a beer in one hand and a fishing rod in the other. Look's like you had a good weekend. Keep it up Bro'!!

    Invite....
I mentioned to Pat about an invite up to the panhandle.....late October.

But that's more a get away, though fishing will be involved, and more than likely a beer or two also.

But, the invite for Tampa Bay is always open.....

We might not catch any fish, but we can share a lie or two....LOL.

Just givin' ya a hard time Beav
Yankin' your chain BigMan. Gotta do that to you old-timers every now and again (old-time survivor that is).

You've given me plenty of invites and I appreciate that. And one of these days I'll make it down

Just a Get Away sounds good. Know that has been talked about a few times here, to get H&N folks together. Sounds like a plan - let me know if it comes about.

Thanks for the late welcome! I've been going to the lake since I was an infant. Currently, have a place in Osage Beach. Born and raised in STL but spent 20+ years in KC so went through our fishing phase primarily at Truman Lake. Moved back to STL some 18 years ago. Glad I had family close by to help me through this. Surgery was at big Barnes. Fortunate to live a block from Barnes West where I had my rads/chemo. I'm doing well, thank you and hope same for you.
