    Gotcha...
When it opens, you shoild be able to switch views (top right of map).

You can switch it from Google Map (or Satellite), to Google Earth.

    size doesn't matter. ;-)
maybe small, but beautiful and prosperous, yes?
not to mention, the birthplace of talented hockey players like Anže Kopitar.
good health to you and your family.

    Wow
wow, blackswampboy, I was actually very touched by you mentioning Anže Kopitar :)). It's good to be recognized out in the world... Yes, my country is beautiful, but aren't they all? :))
It is small but has everything: sea, mountains, hills and valleys, wonderful forests, castles and churches, lakes...

It is great to meet such wonderful people in this board! Let the health be our connection not only the desease.

    Understand..
Not sure if it works on the iPad or not.

I don't think it works in the Earth within Google.... I do know that in Earth it works with the labels.

    Yep...
    That's what I was referring....

I know you can dump it in from Excel, but once you add any updates, it's out of order again... I beleive that the only way to update (and sort it again), you'd have to compile everything, sort ot and dump it again...only you might have to make a new map each time....

Either way a lot of work..., this serves the main purpose I intended.

    Thanks for the imput though...

And yes, I figured that I was the only one that could view the names on the points.

I have a few of the KML's for fishing...., it lists Florida Ramps mainly...

    JG

    yeah
right, to keep it sorted one would presumably add updates in Excel and rebuild the map each time.
since all the map data (including names, descriptions, icons, icon colors...) is in the Excel file, rebuilding = importing. building the map would be the easy part.

but it's all academic, because who is their right mind would want to use lat/long data?
    oh well.

    Cool site !
    Thanks John !
Lots of little pins everywhere ! Would love to see them all disappear due to a cure. I'm in a small rural community Browerville, Minnesota. But will be relocating up north east of here to the Brainard lakes area in the next year. Beautiful here too ! Katie
