Is it shrinking tumor?

Options
My husband was diagnosed NPCA stage 3. After 4 days of radiation he spit out bloody mucus with some sort of flesh on it. I dont know what to do because blood came out from his nose for about five minutes.

Anyone have experience this? Im so nervous about his condition.

Thanks,
Mitch16

    not unusual
I had this almost every day, beginning at the start of rads and ending almost six weeks after. About three months of bloody sputum and junk. Then it stopped. I am now six months past treatment, NED. I understand jumping at shadows. This one will be ok.

    Ummm...
Like Pat said, it's not real uncommon amongst us that were being zapped....

But I would presume that you communicated with your MD's, or if not, it's always a good idea to let them know what's going on.

I agree to check with onc. nurse
    Mitch16,
I too had alot of bleeding but not right away...mine stopped my rads half way through. But now hearing others are having or had this issue...damn doctor coulda told me it was ok instead of telling me, OH MY I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS SO EARLY INTO RADS. Please don't read anything into my rantings....I'm sure after reading the above posts everything is very normal. But yes check at the very least with his onc. nurse ! Keep us posted...and sending positives for both of you ! Katie
