Mucus Metamorphosis??

It's gone from white to having a little more color. It's not coming from my chest at all. Originates more from the post nasal area. Is some color ok or should I get antibiotics ASAP?

I love how you phrase things.....LOL
"mucous metamophisis"...ha! I only get the thick mucous when I've got the mouth sores...it goes from white, to a little more of a yellow color...I'm not taking anything by mouth (not even water), so that isn't affecting the color. I think I'd only get worried it got really yellow, or started getting a greeish tinge...anything that would signify a possible infection.

    mucus color
    Hello !
I wouldn't worry too much unless as Phrannie said the color is more yellow or greenish. Also if you start running a temp. Do you have seasonal allergies ? I do, and take a daily script for it. If it gets worse touch base with your primary. Hope it gets better soon ! Warmest wishes sent, Katie

    Oh it's definitely yellow...
Oh it's definitely yellow... Bordering on tan I'd say. I don't have a fever. I do generally have allergies but, oddly, have not had an attack since I started treatment even though I've not been taking my Claritin. I go for fluids tomorrow. I took a pic and will show my onc tomorrow I guess.

Wouldn't it be nice if a sinus infection was causing it? I know how to fix that at least!!!

    My onc says...
My dr says the mucous is no sign for alarm and that it is actually natures "patch" on the soreness in our throats. He said if all of the mucous was gone while we are still healing our throats would be super sore! Mine was on the yellow side at times too but he said that mostly depended on how hydrated or dehydrated I was. At the time I was getting IV fluids 3 times a week for severe dehydration. I am 7 weeks post treatment tomorrow and the mucous is hardly there at all. Hopefully this helps? Oh and mine was not in my chest either, all post nasal.

    Yes that definitely helps.
Yes that definitely helps. And I've been getting fluids five days a week for the last 4 or 5 weeks. Outdoes seem to break loose after I pump some water in my tube. This is so gross lol. I'm hoping mine does t last long since I never had very serious or visible burns.

    gastroesophageal?
hm...mine has been mostly yellow since rads, and I reckon it's gastroesophageal. no nasal/chest infection here.
during rads I was pewking it up, and it was like yellow glue. thinned out a lot since then, but it's still pretty much the color of osmolite (6 cans/day...). or sometimes more the color of ensure.
sorry for the graphic detail, but no getting around it. ;-)
