    So Sorry to Hear!

In some ways, nothing could seem scarier than a tumor in the center of our consciousness, our brain. So I really really empathize with your recent recurrence! If it's of any hope, or inspiration, you might pick up David S. Screiber's book again, Anti-Cancer--for after being given a year to two to live with his own brain tumor, he went on to survive, despite a recurrence of it, for another fourteen to sixteen years (can't recall which figure is accurate, but both are heartening!).

PLEASE watch your diet, especially the sugar. And keep your system as alkaline as possible. Lemon juice in hot water each morning. A green drink soon afterwards, before breakfast. Whey protein shakes to build up your glutathione. And determination to lick this recurrence, scary as it is.

    Love,
    Rosey

Tx for your encouraging post. I have never read that book..i guess it is time too. Yesterday was my tenth and final whole brain radiation and i pray it it did its job and controlled those buggers. I am supposed to have an mri mid september now. Hopefully things will look good. The next step may be 5 radiostatic radiation that is specific to the tumor sites and is extremely precise.

Just had to tell you when I read your post, I had the strongest feeling that EVERYTHING is going to be ok. Not saying easy, but will turn out ok. Best of Blessings to you, debrajo

    Update
Hello all I haven't posted anygthing lately and I am sorry. I have spent very little time on the computer. This recovery wasn't as easy as the first but It is coming along. And with other family issues to deal with and Debra Jo you will appreciate this, resisting the urger to smother my husband in his sleep, time gets away from me. I stti have some left sided weakness and have to manage differently. However I have mastered the tasks and seem to be getting stronger and more clear headed each day. I am sure all the creditors I owe money to will appreciate that as I let things slip right before and after this last surgery. If I overdo I tire somewhat easily. I have my post op follow up with the neurosurgeon next week. I am on a short term disability right now thru Aug 21.I will have to get supporting documentation about why I am unable to perform the basic functions of my job to extend it o
I have to have a n mri in mid september to check ghed tumors. Depending what it shows I may have to have 5 radiostatic radiation treatments. I am afraid what it might show. My son is taking me to Las Vegas on September 30. Come hell or high water I will go and have told my doctors. They have no problemn with it.
Take care everyone. Hugs to all of you.
    Love,
    Pat

So glad to hear you are
So glad to hear you are getting stronger and clear-headed! And I certainly won't mention the smothering of your husband since I have thought of that in-depth! Go to Vegas and have a blast for all of us!...just don't get too hot!Forget the bills, the paper work, the family junk...it will be there when you get back! The trip will give you a change you need and take your mind off everything but having fun! I bet you will even get stronger while there. Check in and let us know what's happening so we don't freak! Best, debrajo
