Thank you everyone for all the hugs, prays and well wishes, it meant a lot to me. Now comes the days of dealing with life without him. All the quest and family are gone and its quiet. Hoping each day gets easier, need to start to focus back on my health with I have neglected. It's not going to be easy. Thank you once again. Kathy

    Oh Kathy,
    I so wish there

    Oh Kathy,

I so wish there was something we could say or do to help ease your pain. You are in my prayers. Please allow yourself to grieve. It's okay! Don't let anyone try to take that away from you. Just one day at a time. After I lost my husband two years ago, I sometimes had to break my down into small increments to get through. That's okay. Here's a virtual hug!!

    I agree
that you have to grieve in your own way and in your own time. After going through a devastating loss I decided the best advice I could give someone else is to cry when you need to and take as long as it takes. I know others want us to move on because it is difficult for them to see us in pain but you can't rush grief or it will show up in other ways.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I know this is a total
I know this is a total cop-out, but sometimes it helps to just pretend, for a second or two, just to be able to draw breath again, that your son is just "busy, away on a trip, backed-up at work" ANYTHING that will give your heart a chance to beat again. I got really good at it after a while. Of course, it won't work all the time, but you just need time. Not necessarily one day at a time, but ONE second at a time. Best, debrajo
