Awww the beach! That's the best!!! Not warm enough here for the beach yet. I love that you always post this on my Thursday, gets me excited for the weekend. We have a pizza party for the track team. Also my sister and I are planning my daughter's baby shower so we'll do a little decoration shopping.
Hoping to feel better. Xeloda is attacking my gastro system. Ugh...that's how it goes in treatment eh?
No plans as of yet.
Hoping to work on taxes and gather items for an upcoming town yard sale.
Always lots of 'STUFF' remaining from kids earlier years.
My bike is calling my name but my walks have been delayed some days due to chemo issues. No biking yet...
Have a wonderful weekend all.
These posts are fun to read.
BTW-our best beaches are the dunes in IN and MI-water may still be cold. Chicago beaches are pretty too...
"No more radiation" party tomorrow night with girlfriends, then daughter's softball tournament this weekend. It's my first one since my diagnosis and I have a lot of mothers on the team who have promised to watch out for me - keep me out of the sun, bring me waters, etc. I might get used to this special treatment! :-)
I will be resting. Chemo #8 of 12 is next week and the cumulative part I am starting to really understand. I can sleep 14 hours and wake up exhausted. Sooooo I will be sleeping. Zzzzzzzzzzzz Alice
Well, you know me and my yard sales. Will be at it again Saturday. It's only supposed to be about 104. We used to rent a huge storage room, but had to give it up and my house looks like a bomb hit it with all the boxes, tools, camping equipment, and lots of other stuff, my 30 boxes of Christmas decorations included. So I'll probably be at this till we lose the house or I die, whichever comes first. LOL! Of course I may have to come back after I die. I still have a cabin full of stuff to get rid of before it can be sold. Maybe I should open a second hand shop.
Hey, weekend again, they seem to come faster each week. I have a course on saturday to attend, BUT the WK soccer is here and this Dutch lady, living in Canada, is going to watch that for the next few weeks. Go Holland GO,
Dinner guests tonight and watching soccer together.
My daughter, Jennifer will be 29 Saturday. My husband, 26 year old son and 14 year old twins will be taking her to dinner Saturday in Chattanooga TN where she lives (about 45 min away). Time sure does fly, I thought I was only 30 years old!!!!

Just met with surgeon today and the plan is to have 4 MORE weeks OFF of chemo and do the reconnect surgery of my colon, and get rid of the Bag! Pretty excited about this and after just 2 weeks off of chemo, I'm feeling the best I've felt in a year or two.
Tomorrow is my 2nd son's graduation party, so we'll have a couple hundred people in and out of the house. And, tonight and sunday... going to other grad parties.
beautiful weather here in Ohio this week... this is the best.
Best of luck with you takedown. It's great to be off the bag. Don't listen to any horror stories. Only those who had problems post them.
The successes, like me,are NED and happy as clams!!!
Here in southern California we have what's called May Grey and June Gloom, because these two months usually have a thick marine layer come in and stay.
I'm going to have a quiet weekend and not do much of anything.
Everyone enjoy themselves, or take this time to heal and rejuvenate.

Robert's brother and nephew have come in from Texas, his mom, sister, niece and her husband, with their 5 kid (age 11-2), will be here shortly, driving down from Indiana. I have thrown together a BBQ (pork and chicken are in the smoker as we speak). Bonfire ready to light. Looking forward to a weekend with family.
Tomorrow I'm getting my hair trimmed (YAY!!), and the stylist is offering a special tomorrow where you get a free eyebrow waxing. I'm opting for that, so if you hear screams, that will be me. I hate having it done, but I love the look afterwards. Sunday will be a busy, sad day. Our pastor, who is a dear friend as well as my boss, will be preaching his last sermon. I'm leading the children's choir in singing a special song for him. There will be a lunch afterwards, and I'm presenting the pastor and his wife with a handmade scrapbook of pictures of church people and events. I'll be working hard tomorrow to finish that!
Sunday evening I'm going to my daughter's church for a Vacation Bible School meeting. I always help with theirs, too, and this year I'll be heading up the dress up area.
*hugs*

PS In the morning Bill and I will go to the farmers' market!

I'm trying a couple of new recipes; one from my recent trip to France (Tomate Tatin avec Chevre - Tomato Tatin with goat cheese) and another that just looks fantastic (OMG Chicken - with 4 heads (yes, heads, not cloves) of garlic. Assuming I survive, I'll report back!
Day on my own today, as husband is visiting his mother. I opted not to go - she has dementia and no longer has a clue who I am. I don't think she knows her son either, but it's a long drive (2 1/2 hours each way) to spend a little time with her. I'll see her and my mother next week, when we go down for a hike and other things as well as mother visits (my mother also has dementia. Maternal visits are very difficult.)
Chillin....BBQ, Belmont stakes, Boston vs Miami game 7 and of course nascar is at Pocono Sunday. Trying to stay outta the heat, mid 90s now. Lots of tube time.
Euro Cup 2012 has started and tomorrow you got huge match , Spain vs Italy, also don't forget Roland Garros Final ,Nadal vs Jokovich
and F1 Canada grand Prix. Hahaha sorry for spoiling your plans!.
How do you feel my friend?
Hugs!
