I never thought I'd be nearly 50 yrs. old (well I'll be 50 by the time school starts back) and have to support myself. But after losing my Mom 4 yrs. ago, husband, 2 yrs. ago, OVCA diagnosis 2011, I have passed ALL my necessary Praxis exams!! I'm so relieved and excited!! I completed my M.A. in Early Childhood Education one month before my husband died from a heart attack (unexpectedly) in 2010. Now I've just about completed all necessary paper work. I should have that certificate in four to six weeks!! :)

    That's great news, Carla!
You've been through so much these last few years and have overcome many hurdles to make your dream a reality. Your kids must be very proud of you and I'm sure your mom and husband are looking down on you with pride and love.

I am so proud of you!
You have had way more hurdles than I and yet look what you have accomplished! At the same time I have not accomplished anything. Shame on me! You truely show what it means to Live Strong! Such an inspiration to us, your family, and all the students you touch in the years to come. Congrats!

As a fellow teacher (retired now), I salute you for all the hard work you've gone through to get where you are today. Teaching is SO satisfying and SO important!

Good luck in your future endeavors.
