Well, I guess "just found" isn't quite right, I've always seen it there. But, I did just realize that we can post pictures, stories, poems etc. so I put up a pic of my dog and one of me that was photo shopped about four years ago, two years before my dx. Pretty cool that we have something like that to share with each other.

    Awesome
Awesome pictures. Love the Renaissance. We actually had our costumes custom made and when we went people would think we were part of the festival. I've never done the "expressions" as just changing my picture here gives me a headache :)

He is excellent with helping post the picture. He had to walk me through a couple times. He's done some "videos" on several things - that guy is a genious when it comes to computer stuff. And a lot of times he posts a "like" button that never goes anywhere except his last button :)

    Costumes
I worked the Renn Fest in Phoenix one season as front gate security. It was the most fun I ever had one a job; I actually got paid to flirt with women! Woohoo! My costume had to be as authentic as possible for the 16th century so I decked out as a cavalier, loaded down with weapons which included a pair of imitation ivory handled pistols. This year, I've opted to let my 17 year old nephew inherit that one and have gone with The Dread Pirate Roberts look from Princess Bride. He's much more of a man's pirate than Captain Jack Covergirl from Pirates of the Caribbean IMHO.

lol, good one! My little Sea Dog sure was a hit that day. We couldn't walk 10 feet without someone taking her pic.

    What an Experience
That sounds so wonderful. Love the renaissance movies too, Excalibur was one of my favs and I'm going to see "Snow White and the Huntsman" that looks like the same thing. You were lucky to get paid, flirt and be part of a festival that most people never get to experience. Love the turkey legs. After the cancer thing, I'm afraid to put my costume on as my tummy troubles stop me from going some places (and there are four layers to my skirt including the fancy old fashioned underwear). Think I'm going to try it this year "without" the costume. Glad your nephew is taking over your reign. If you got some of those pictures to post that would be awesome.

    Hi Doc
In all the years I've lived here I've never made it to the Renn Festival. My son, when he was working, went all out and spent about $500 on a full wizard costume. He has the long hair and beard so it worked out perfectly. He looked like one of the performers and used to have a great time there.

Love your little dog and you ain't half bad yourself. LOL

    Luv Ya,

    Howdy Wolfen,

The Fest is a blast. When I go down to Phoenix, I always arrange it so that it's during the Renn season so that my daughter and I can go there. They have one here that I went to last weekend, but it's not as big and it was just me and the mutt so it wasn't as much fun.

She is an adorable little twerp. She's seen things that most people have never seen. We've been to the Vegas strip, South Rim of the Grand Canyon, the White House, Gettysburg and a lot of other places and someone will always ask "can I take a picture of your dog?" It never ceases to amaze me when that happens. And thanks for the compliment, I really needed it just now.

Aww shucks ... Thanks. Wish I still looked like that, but I lost the hair a bit over a year ago and it's just not growing back very well. That is one mighty cute dog, tho. You wouldn't believe the places we've been and people still want to take her picture.

I don't even have a picture which I will get around to amending some time- reminded me I hadn't even updated my profile in 8 years.

    Like the wings,
