I started walking when the weather got nicer. I can walk 2 miles now and just ignore the neurapathy in my feet.

I walked 5 miles this morning under a canopy of trees along a creek......sort of a green space in the suburbs. It's where I can get "fresher" air. Saw a section of a copperhead snake last week......ugh. Didn't see the whole thing cause I walked really fast after spotting it along the edge of the concrete. Now I'll have to stay very alert when walking.
I wouldn't feel as good if I weren't doing all this walking......i do believe.

Hi pete. I have been a fitness junky for years. I mountain bike kayak and weight lift.

    welcome to the walking post
i need some advice about weight lifting, i have some muscle but really not much,
i only became a fitness junkie when it become obvious to me my survival depends on it.

i have to gain 4 kg of solid muscle and get my body weight from 86.5kg over 90kg in the next two months, this is the target the onc and i agreed on, vegan muscle building is a challenge. otherwise onc wants me to see her nutritionist and go to mcdonalds. yuk.

i am having a liver spasm just thinking about mcdonalds.

did you know mcdonalds have extra thick reinforced floors.
they need too to carry all the extra weight of their customers.
    (this was a joke!)

so post away here, whenever you want.

everyday i am walking, or doing yoga or weights or swimming.

getting my nutrition right is a challenge, but i am trying, some say very trying.

    hugs,
    pete

ps today i walked and ran with son and wife on our beach with dogs, i got 40 pushups done, 2 sets of 20. yesterday was a big swim and a long walk and lots of upper body weights.

    13 Miles or 20K
We go on a weekend walk. My wife drops me off on a trail head and drives to the other side and walks towards me. She dropped me off and drives 10 miles(18K) to the other side. I walk 8k and text her my location. We meet and I see a new trail. It is marked and I believe that it will take us to the trail head that she is parked at. I was wrond, and winded up doing another 14K to the car. Luckily my wife is easy going and the dogs loved it. I ended the day with 21km and the wife with 14km on the trail. We had Mexican food and Marguirtas to celbrat the walk. lol
