Hi Joe , it seems you got a funny and busy weekend!
Hope you enjoy with mum, kids, the boat the match and the mass, Jesus what a weekend for somebody who is dealing with chemo!, must congratulate you for your attitude !.Enjoy it but be careful with skiing ,I don't know why but suspect the water must be still very cold in Michigan isn't ?.
    Big hug my dear friend!

    Pepe
Yep... trying to keep real busy and "begin living" again.
I spent December, January, February and half of March in an almost depressed state.

I never knew if the chemo was "working". and it is!

Want to stay busy with fam and kids... but not with work!!!

    LOL!!!

    Low stress is best.

    The weather is fine...
Hey Joe, I'm in Ohio too. Up by Lake Erie, eastside of Cleveland. What part are you in?
    CJ

    Toledo
we're on the other side of Lake Erie from you... live in Toledo.
we used to waterski in the Maumee River and in Lake Erie... but we go to an inland lake in Adrian, MI area... near MIS.

love the water more than ever!

    A Vanishing Breed...
Yes, the good old-fashioned drive in...hanging that clanky speaker off your window...and a time when you paid "by the car load" for just a handful of dollar bills....and then you snuck 2 extra people in the trunk for free...or as many as you could fit:)...and then pull to the back to let them out, LOL!

I always enjoyed the cartoons they showed before the main feature...Foghorn Leghorn, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck...and the rest of the crew...

Funny thing then though, most of the time they had double features - and you didn't have to pay any extra...and you're right, Wolfen...concessions were cheap and as much of the experience as the movie itself.

That's great Americana right there...well enjoy the show.

    Hey Craig
We were too cheap. We took along our own popcorn and sodas. The last time we went, there were no speakers. You had to tune your radio to a certain frequency and that's how you got the sound.

Okay, fess' up. How many of you pulled that speaker right off the stand because you forgot to take it out of your window as you left? LOL!!

Pepe, you just don't know what you missed. For us in the States, what me missed was probably most of the movie.

    Luv,

    Wolfen

    Hi Pepe, I am staying
Hi Pepe, I am staying positive and hoping my sisters will be down on the 16th. Mary's pain is under control and she finished radiation today. Sooooooo, I am starting to do all the things I do for "company". It will be a very special time for us. The first "sleep over" we have ever had as sisters. How cool is that?
Hugs to you and hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

hi pepe, did 1 and 1/2 marathons
    about 140 laps

i was pleased with the effort, walked non stop 10am to 9pm besides loo and massage stops and lunch and dinner.

go up 3am and did an hour with hundreds of midnight walkers.

got up 7am and did yoga and then more laps.

the whole family and some friends slept over with 1000s of others, its was an amazing experience and i have my marathon medal at last. next year who knows.

some ultra marathon runners made it 100km, i was happy with 50km. never done this before, i have recovered quiet welll except for the blisters.

    hugs,
    pete
