    Hi ....
Thanks beingbless, gary, tex, littledarlin, fishknees, etc. for for all your encourangement and support. Thanks for the joke Gary. I am back from the appointment - actually have been home for about 4 hours now. The nurse practioner is who I see for the follow-up visit. He said the opperation went well, the tumor was 2.5cm, papillary Type I, stage 1 grade 1. No invasion of other tissues, clear margins. Hooray! I feel so incredibly lucky. They told me I could begin light aerobic exercise - and like you said to just take it slow and build up. I put on my regular pants to wear today, but they were so uncomfortable once I zipped and snapped them. I'm going to have to find an alternative because there is no way I will be able to wear anything sitting on my waist or ab incisions. Maybe by the time I return to work on the 23th, it will be healed enough where I can wear pants comfortably. Any suggestions? PS - I did have someone drive me today as I am a little dizzy sometimes like I was today.

    Congratulations!!!
    JR,

The only thing better than 111 is benign, I love it when we get such good news here! It sounds like you will be back to "normal" in record time, but don't push too hard just yet, give it another week or so before you test yourself.

    You rock,

    Gary

    Again...
thanks everyone. I don't think I would have done this well if it wasn't for you. I feel like a part of your family. Tex - speaking of spectacular - I can't believe all the activity you are capable of....I have no intention of plugging in my yoga DVD because I could barely do it before the operation!!! PS Has anyone 'seen' fox? I wanted to thank him for his 'good luck golf game' he played on Tuesday in my honor.

    Latest report
That sounds first class. Now, take the recovery steadily and don't try to run before you can walk, enjoy your break before getting back to work and take it easy on the ... talking. I'm also having the waistband-over-incision problem and about to try gently adding a little work on a cross-trainer to tai chi, to ease back into readiness for walking Carnoustie on Friday, with a view to golf asap!

You mentioned a joke from Gary - where was that? - I seem to have missed it :)

    Lazy? or ignorant?
I am not sure which I am .... but what is this Carnoustie of which you speak? I've never heard of it except in your postings. And I am too lazy to Google it:) Enlighten me please.

    Hi Y'all
Yeah, I'm around. Been having a busy couple of weeks. computer crashed. Then couldn't log on due to site being over loaded. Father in law passed away, etc. etc. I'll admit that having not been able to log on for a while I fell behind on posts. A couple of times I've been able to only read one or two posts then couldn't stay on. Oh well. My wife and kids tell me every day to get a new computer, but I'm not ready yet.....Any way, I played a very enjoyable round for you today. I hope you enjoyed it.

    I enjoyed it immensely
...and obviously your good luck round helped me quite a bit. So keep on golfing...I am getting better every day! Sorry about your father-in-law fox. I also haven't been able to get on here a couple of times. I noticed that if it says 30 or more members online, it is hard to get on here and/or stay on and/or get to any of the threads. On those days I give up. But between 5 and 6 am there are only 12 or so members online. I hope you are getting along OK - I am thinking about you.

    New computer
Hell, Fox, you bought the new truck tires didn't you? New computers are so cheap it's a false economy not to replace them when you need to. Also sorry to hear about loss of your father-in-law.

j_rod, thanks for the heads up on the load - where do you usually check the number of members online? Being so many hours ahead of the States, I can usually post easily during the day but at some times nothing will go for many hours, leading at times to my having to post a day after I've written a message. Checking the pattern of numbers online (assuming there is a pattern) could be handy in saving time.

On this side of the pond there is a "members on line box" at the top right of the page.

    FIL
Father in law was 88. He pretty much decided it was time. So he kind of gave up. MIL is 86 with advanced dementia. She can get lost in the bathroom. We've put a 24 hour caregiver in to stay with her. My poor wife had been running back and forth to her house, the nursing home, working full time, baby sitting our granddaughters and worrying about me. Hopefully life will be a little easier for her now....Yeah, I need a new computer. But it seems to be working now. Explorer doesn't work correctly, but mozilla seems to....35 members on line right now. But I think that is for all the cancer forums?

Sorry to hear about the FIL/MIL issues, getting old seems to suck almost as much as cancer. We are going through the same thing with my MIL right now, she's 84 and withering away physically, but still sharp mentally. She says enough is enough and she is ready, really tough on my wife. We just started Hospice for her, case workers last name is Glumm, we had a good laugh/cry over that.

    Spelling....or accurate?
If you meant skipping rope - ok. If you meant 'skipping robe' - as in not wearing a robe after my morning shower and parading in front of the windows for all to see - well, I have already done that :) Thanks for the unplanned laugh! PS - If anyone in my town takes the time to peep in the windows, they will not look again, guaranteed!
