I just wanted to post to say that all is well with Dennis and say that I do pop in and read most of the posts daily. I think I have subconsiously decided to put my head in the sand and pretend that we don't have cancer latley. The news of Carl passing really hit me because just a couple months ago we seemed to be on the same track as Carl and Renee and now Renee has lost her husband and their children have lost their father. It made me sad and mad as hell, it also makes me realize that I have to make the best of every day with my loved ones and live while I am alive. I bought a new horse that I couldn't afford or need but it feels so good to think of things other than cancer.

    Reading about Carl really does make us realize how precious every day is. This awful cancer can turn ugly so fast it is scarry. Jeff

    my head is in the sand as well
    and carls passing has touched us all differently.

    the more friends here that die, the more extreme i go.

    just come up for air occaisionally, i do.

    Glad Dennis is doing well
    and that you treated yourself to a horse Brenda.
    Cancer takes up a lot of time if you let it and sometimes it's hard to be "normal". What is normal anymore anyway? I've seen scores of people go over since I joined in 2005. The past 12 months have been very tough on here with the past 2 months being even worse it seems.

    During that same time (since 2005) I've had 4 close friends pass away. NONE of them were cancer related in any way. It just happens. You sum it up nicely when you said "it also makes me realize that I have to make the best of every day with my loved ones and live while I am alive"
