Let's make the CEA go away...
Like this post will if everyone continues to respond to the post above it instead of to Rachel's...
It's going to fall off the right side of my browser!

Oh Heck, showed up for labs and my appointment is for next week! LMAO you would think monthly would be enough!

Did see my naturopath and she started me on

Hopefully this will help build up my immune system and get my gut to absorb nutrients better. I am also back on Para biotic plus, just to ensure that I don't have too many parasites in my body. I did go to Mexico one year and got really sick!!

I'm also on no fruit diary or starch food for a couple months. She did increase my vitamin C to 6,000 units and Vitamin D3 to 5,000.

I'm on this protein drink so I don't lose muscle while on this diet, even though it's not for weight purposes that I am on it. This drink is a lot cheaper on this site then at the naturpath or amazon

    Goodness
I have last 6 pounds in one week...WOW!

    Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs

    Snack - handlful of almonds

Lunch Protein drink - and some pumpkin seeds and nuts, or a snack bar

Dinner my Veggie soup: I made 7 premade bowls and placed them in the fridge Much easier just to grab it and eat it.

    Kale
    Bok choy
    Zunchinni
    onions
    Garlic
    tomatoes
    cabbage and sprouts
some chicken broth, turmeric and pepper.

I also took all the stems from them veggies, and more veggies and some ginger and separated it all in 7 freezer bags and placed them in the frige to juice. I plan on changing the veggies as I go. 42 days for parasite cleanse. 21 to get what is there, and another 21 to get any eggs that hatch. I also asked my GP to set me up for parasite testing next week just as a back up to the naturopath. second opinion ;)

its reads like a good routine, similar to mine
My dysbosis has come back, doing heavy duty stool tests.
Goodluck with it all, its just nice to have company doing the naturopathic path. I just wish we were both dreaming and our Cea were zero. That said I am grateful to have friends here and to be well. Sooner or later we will find away to beat the crc.

I was told to get onto immune plus today as a coincidence as well.

    Good luck fixing your gut.

You must have some dysbosis as well. Most do.

Fixing my gut is the top priority for all the integrative docs.
It's key to nutuent absorption for food, juices and supps.

Did you check 24hour urine yet, is your zinc good.
    It's real important.

raquel thanks, great products your dr has you on
    http://www.medicalinsider.com/bacterial.html
I found the info here a good background.

I think a healthy gut , is a actually my top priority in fighting cancer.

how else do we get the benefits of all the organic food, and juices and supplements we ingest.

great products raquel, i hope they get your dysbosis sorted.

Even the protein drink loooks good, i like the idea of not loosing any more muscle. Its one of my key targets, actually i am trying to gain muscle.

    hugs,
    pete

ps an excerpt from the above article. We can reduce the lactic acid processing load on the liver by having a healthy gut, just amazing and at the same time we can reduce the background load on the immune system. I am up to naturopath number 7, he is the best one yet! One day soon all oncologists will be helping us poor crc patients rebuild our gut after chemo, at the moment we have to do it ourselves. alas. I would bet the pain and suffering and at least some of the recurrences could have been avoided if the onc's just said, ok your finished chemo, go see a good naturopath to detox and rebuild your gut. its just criminal the lack of health care we are given IMHO. I don't mean to get to emontional, but the ways we can improve our health going through the crc treatment to me are self evident, why are all the onc's so blind. anyway, i will make a point on living long enough to say i was right.

Effects of Pathogenic Organisms in the GI Tract:

    General:

Pathogenic organisms excrete toxins; which poison the body's cells, impair normal biochemical and mitochondrial function, put an additional burden on the liver; and put also put a constant and background strain on the immune system, rendering it slightly less prepared to deal with any other additional infections that might arise, of a microbial or viral origin. In addition, the constant strain on the immune system renders it slightly incapacitated, and it is likely to be further impaired in any case for toxicological and nutritional deficiency reasons. A constant immune system response also uses up a great deal of cellular energy and can result in excessive fatigue. Pathogenic organisms are responsible for a number of different diseases and disorders.

pete, just think what it would be if we weren't trying so hard! :)

Tomorrow is my CEA check time.

    the 24 hour urine tests
get good measures of the bodies levels of zinc, it was used for me to indicate a massive difficency.my score was 1 the range 8-18 that was mid december.

been on zinc picolinate 100mg breakfast lunch and dinner since then.

got the results from another 24hour urine test. my score was 8. at last i have made into the safe zone. zinc is fundamental to our well being. everyone here should check their zinc status. but that is just a dream. no doctor will talk to you about zinc, and how you need zinc to make stomach acid, and how you need stomach acid to absorb nutrients and minerals like zinc. I'd better stop you asked about 24 urine test, well zinc is good and so are lots of other metals.

    naturopaths don't generally do these, onc don't, gp's don't.

but functional and integrative gp's do, they have been educated in the science and clinical practice of supplements and mineral's. you know you have a good one if they ask about your zinc status.

without a good GIT gastro intestinal track all our good foods just goes through to the keeper. zinc is fundamental here. I don't think you get any zinc from macdonalds or kfc either. most fruit and veg don't have zinc either, its not in the soil.

hugs for that cea test, its just a marker. you will beat this, no matter what the score is, but hoping its a good score. you have had enough challenges already. we all have.

    hugs,
    pete

ps trying hard yes, but its fun to keep our doctors on their toes with all the research

pps you into pink himalayan sea salt?, it keeps you inter and intra cellular water levels balanced, asked your naturopath to do a capacitance test, i think thats what its called.
yes, i am having a teaspoon breakfast and dinner with water.

CEA went up 5, it is not at
CEA went up 5, it is now at 18.3 from 13.3.. Scans in 4 weeks, then if something shows up on the CT we do radiation and avastin/zofran.

The ONC is trying to pin point where the cancer is before wiping it out with chemo, he really wants to zap it first.

HE also told me to keep up the low dose aspirin.

pink himalayan sea salt --- Pete, I do use that in my food as a sprinkle. So I don't use much.
