Getting My Port Out Next Week!

Can't wait! This thing has been bothering me ever since it went in back in November. My doctor said that since I had a good DRE and that I understand that it might have to be put back in if the cancer comes back, I can have it out. Next Friday! Yay! How are all of you doing? I lost 30 pounds during my treatment and from stress too. I have gained 20 back unfortunately. I am trying to lose it again! Have a great weekend all!

    Hi Chris!
Congrats on your upcoming "deportation!" I know how anxious you have been to get that thing out, so I'm glad it's going to happen soon. It sounds like you are doing well--I'm very happy to hear that! Take care and let us know how the procedure goes next Friday. I wish you all the best.

    Hi Chris--
You are very dear to say such nice things, but everyone in this group was/is pulling for you. One thing I have found during this journey is that those of us that have been forced to join the anal cancer club form a strong alliance. We are all moving forward together. Kind of reminds me of the last episode of Mary Tyler Moore where they all hugged and moved together! That was a classic! Take care, friend!

    So happy for you!
Congratulations on your deporture! Where they took mine out is now nicely healed. I think it's a good sign that you put the 20 pounds back on. Sounds like you have a good appetite! Just take it easy on yourself. I have found recovery from the treatment isn't exactly like every single day gets better. It's gradual and some days aren't as good as the day before, but you are over the worst of it for sure. Aren't we lucky to have been diagnosed with a treatable cancer? I hope you like me, find yourself overall much better than before your diagnosis.
    All the best,
    Sandy

    Hey Chris, how are you
Hey Chris, how are you doing? Wasn't this past week when you had the much-hated port taken out? If so, you must be very relieved to be rid of it.

Sill have mine. It has never bothered me a bit (well, sometimes my bra strap is in the way), so I'll keep it for a while.

    Hope you are doing well.
