Test Results

Thank you all so much for your prayers and concern, it is soooo comforting to have this safe place to turn when we need. Well I had my PET, CT, and Chest x-Ray for a one year since diagnosed ??? checkup. Most of the results were good. The anal area showed no evidence of recurrent/metastatic disease, with some activity most likely related to postinflammatory changes. They will continue to watch since I have a great deal of scar tissue. Lymph nodes appear unchanged or better since last scan. Spleen, liver, lungs, etc all normal. But.....the irregular complex mass in my breast was a concern. It tested Atipit (abnormal) borderline invassive. So they did a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy and I go in again on Monday for a MRI and meet with my doc again. They said if cancer, because of the shape and size of the mass I am looking at a mastectomy. If just an abnormal lump we will discuss what to do, but in order to fully remove I may still loose most or all of my breast. I have had questionable lumps in the past, but this one is a bit different. Please continue to keep me in your prayers, and I know I don't even have to ask. I thank God for the good news I did receive and have faith that whatever hand I am given I will have the ability to handle. I will let you all know, when I find out.....until then I have you also in my thoughts.

    Hi
So glad to hear the test results for your anal cancer were good. That's at least one load off your mind. Will continue with prayers that the lump on your breast is as much a non-issue as possible.

Yes, you will definitely be in my prayers. I'm sorry that your great news about the anal cancer being gone is overshadowed by the questionable results on your breast. I hope you get the best news possible and will not have to undergo surgery. Please keep us posted.
