One more round of 5fu and then I prep for lung surgery March 20th. The plan is to remove some lymph nodes that lit up on the PET scan and section off a portion of my right lung. Since I am told surgery is the gold standard I try to think of this as good news.

My surgeries have been progressively more difficult. Colon surgery then liver resection and now lung surgery. I am wondering if this will be worst than the last?

Any lung resection survivors out there? I would love to hear your stories and the recovery period. I plan to be in the hospital for 5 days and then 2-4 weeks recovery at home.

Wish me luck. Find it and cut it out seems to be the MO. Let's hope they get it all!

Mike

    Hi Mike,
From everything I have read and the folks I have talked to the liver surgery is the toughest. That's why I am a little anxious for my husband to have his liver resection on the 22nd of this month. I think he will do just fine but that doesn't stop me from being afraid to see him in pain.
    Good luck to you!
