    Hola, as Fayard would say
I am alive and well visiting with my sisters, nephews and my chipper 90 year old mom. Her mind is quite sharp and her skin is gorgeous. She had breast cancer 15 years ago, focused on her diet, and has aside from the initial surgery, had no further treatment. I have hopes of emulating her trek. So far, all seems to be going swimmingly. You all seem to be doing well also, is that right? You all are looking good, except Karen seems to have morphed into a village. Perhaps, Karen, you misunderstood, the phraseology, "it takes a village." Love you dear, know I am kidding. Do hope levity is again allowed. I find it very difficult to be serious even in the most dire of situations.

It was really wonderful taking a tour of my sister's home with her, as in nearly every room was hung one of my paintings. They all looked so beautiful framed. She commented that it made her feel as though she was living in an art gallery. Made me cry. You know the kind of cry I mean, the phone commercial tears. I have not painted for a long time, but will be bringing some of the unframed artwork I had left in her care, home with me, where I will frame and hang them. Hope to rekindle the inspiration to paint. also, seeing how she lit up when looking at them with me, sorta made me feel obligated to paint. Do others of you do things that are appreciated by people, that make you feel as though you must do more of the same type of thing??

With love for all and a song in my heart,

    Claudia

    Glad to hear from you!
Hey Claudia....sounds like you are having a wonderful time with family. Enjoy it and get inspired! Will await the gallery opening announcement!!

Did you know sometimes it takes MORE than a Village? HA! That picture is of the cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. They are simply awesome!

    Big hugs, Karen

    Mesa Verde
We were there mid September....had such a wonderful time. The Park Service guides were all wonderful and we learned soooo much. I did decide that I probably didn't have the "stuff" to have lived in those times. Such sturdy, determined, and innovative people.

We then went on to Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce National parks.... A very leisurely, beautiful trip!

You are fortunate to be so close to such beauty! Sorry I didn't know you lived so close!

    Will do!
At this time, not sure when we will be back in the "neighborhood"...will let you know if I am "in town" again!

We are in the Kansas City area...so the invitation is there for you too!
