Cindy, I have NO IDEA what you are talking about!!
Pat, expect that 2 weeks to the minute after you got that Taxol that your hair follicles will "hurt" (mine did anyway) and the hair will start falling out - I noticed when I was in shower. I ended up shaving my hair off on Thanksgiving Day 2008. Bald was definitely more flattering than the shaggy 24 hairs I had left!!

Think I understand what you're doing. The tape is sorta like the roller with tape we'd use when have hair and lint stuck on our dark colored clothing....right? You're using the brown packing tape to pull the loose hairs off your head? Really not a bad idea.
What I did was jump in the shower and with shampoo on my head loosen the falling hair down the drain. Either way works I guess.
How are you feeling Cindy? You know we've both got the aggressive MMMT cancer. Sorry but not up on all the postings, is this a recurrence or your first start on treatments?

Finding humor going through this is much needed. When I read "Bald was definitely more flattering than the shaggy 24 hairs I had left!!" I really did laugh out loud! Still am kinda chuckling as I type this.

This reminded me of when I was going through chemo 6 months ago and went bald. I do not know who came up with this but my best friend sent it to me.
Attitude
There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
'H-M-M,' she said, 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
that she had only one hair on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail.'
So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and
noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
'YAY!' she exclaimed. 'I don't have to fix my hair today!'
Attitude is everything.

This is the second time in six months that I've lost my hair...I'm on the sandwiched therapy of chemo/radiation/chemo. So anyway, the first time I just let my shoulder length hair fall out naturally...exactly 14 days after my first treatment. Took one week before I had a friend shave it to about a quarter of an inch. I lost more hair but I didn't really notice and I never got that smooth bald head.
Flashforward three months and my hair is 3/4" long. Got to go hatless for about 3 weeks. Then chemo started and exactly 14 days later my hair started falling out. This time much quicker. I only made it about 4 days until I had my friend shave it again. This time she decided to use the surgical blade on her clipper normally reserved for cutting off her horses whiskers. I don't recommend it. She cut it way to close and I had patches of stubble that was really irritating especially at night. It was like I had sandpaper on my head.
Anyway, in the shower last night I noticed the stubble coming off in my hand so I decided I would hurry the process along with some shipping tape. I posted a picture under my expressions page. Yuck.
Good luck in your hair loss adventure, its an experience thats for sure.

...took that hair right off though not sure if my head is a little sorer because of it today or not.
No re-occurrence, still getting my first round of treatments that just seem to go on and on. Just finished round five of chemo so one more to go. Whoopie!
