    Anything interesting to read Ketz?
    Have a good weekend.

    A book about the migration
A book about the migration of blacks to the northern USA after slavery. This was done to flee the oppressive American south where lynchings and unjust killings were widespread. It was like fleeing apartheid.

Even though it's a bit late (Sunday afternoon)....
We spent yesterday with friends in Friesland. This is where the 11-cities skating race would have been run, had the ice been strong overall.

I took my skates, and skated where the race would have come thru the town in which our friends live. Sun was shining, cold but fun...with LOTS of people on the ice...

We then got in the car and drove to the edge of a frozen inland sea. This, too, would have been part of the race, so there were MANY out skating on this piece of ice that normally hosts boats and ships of all sizes. There, for the first time in 15 years, there were horse races. Not just the beautiful Friesian horses, but these fantastic sleds that the horses pulled. It was GLORIOUS!!! And there were many people dressed in traditional clothing, as well (not me...*smile*...I was having a hard enough time staying warm...). And at an outside stall, there was snert (thick pea soup), warm sausages, coffee, hot chocolate, and gluwine...a special warm wine spiced with cinnamon and other flavors...mmmm!!!

Today, Sunday, started off early driving to a swap meet. Then over to a preview of an art auction in Arnhem. Now home, doing laundry, and watching the skaters across the street on the frozen canal (I've skated this before, and, I decided that since yesterday I spent a full day outside, today was OK to not...). And it just started to snow, so it will be very cold and wet on the ice...

    Hugs.

chickened out on the fasting retreat saturday
seeing doctor alec burton monday 11am in the mountains.
we had this posh dinner saturday night, which was great.
that i was not going to miss.

tonight we had another bombfire on our beach, and all the neighbour hood kids and a few dads cames around.

they all had marshmellows and i had grapes, alas.

it was our 18th wedding anniversary today, last nights dinner counted as something special for ellie and me.

    hugs,

    Pete

ps how an 85 year old fasting guru copes with my supplement regime and fasting should make for an interesting discussion.

Must be really cold there this days since here is freezing ! Don't remember this cold in Barcelona in long time, which does not help with folfox! .
I love your Dutch plans Kathi.
