So much to be thankful for

Even being through this treatment, and with possible recurrence being investigated, I am damned blessed. Blessed to have a bottom that works. Blessed to have a healthy heart. Blessed to have a beautiful home with four walls and a ceiling that doesn't leak. Blessed to have and enjoy good music and good food. Blessed to have a car that runs well, and legs that run period. And blessed to have a colorfully dysfunctional family.

You can find blessings all around you, if you open your heart and eyes to them. Or you can find darkness.

I hope that today we count our blessings, not our burderns. And maybe tomorrow, too.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

    Amen!
You said it all. Every time I "evacuate" I am truly amazed everything works so well. We had a great Thanksgiving with the PET results coming back negative for cancer two days before. So much to be grateful for. You have to be okay, Angela. We need you for all your wisdom and insights. You are always in my mind's eyes and will continue to be in my prayers. Fondly, Sandy

You said it Ladies. We are all still alive and able to sit at our computers, that is a real plus to give thanks for. I got to give my 2 year old granddaughter her first horse ride on Thanksgiving. My last CT in Oct. showed NED. There is another huge plus. Got to work in my shop on a sign this weekend (I do iron art). Once again, +++++++.

    Beautiful sentiments Angela!
Beautiful sentiments Angela! It's so easy to lose sight of the everyday blessings we have. What's up with the 'possible recurrence'? Biopsy? Hope all turns out ok. I had biopsies 6 months out - turned out to be ok. And my oncologist thought something was up about a year out - but colo said no, it was just radiation damage. Our bodies look so different after the radiation - lots of suspicious looking things. Hope all is well with you.

    Thankful....
You said it well Angela...there's so much to be thankful for in the midst of what we're all going thru.
I'm very thankful to my hubby & family for being with me on this journey. I'm also thankful to have great support on this board. It helps not feel so alone with this 'rare' cancer.
I pray you have no 'recurrence'. That you'll continue to heal & get stronger...as with all our friends here on this journey.
