Different news today

After being told yesterday that it may not be cancer at all, I have been told today they were only talking about the mets on the brain. Additionally, this is something they THINK, not proven. The lung cancer diagnosis still stands. However, I am being told they can't tell me staging or prognosis until it is re-evaluated after treatment of the fungus infection. At this point, I don't know what to think.

    Brain mets
Give the antibiotics time to work. If the spots disappear with time and meds that should indicate that it is not a stage 4 cancer. This disease spreads along a fairly predictable path. Usually it goes to the liver and brain first. I am crossing my fingers for you both that the brain spots disappear.

    Hard to tell
For right now keep taking the meds for the brain and try not to worry about anything else until they know for sure. I know it is hard not to worry but sometimes the worrying can make you sick.

    Wishing you well
