Scan results on my brother...

Well, my mom got the results from Mike's ct scan on Friday - and they were wonderful! Cancer has shrunk, no spread, and fluid in cavity is nonexistant. On a side note, he did have an allergic reaction during the 3 hour push of his treatment yesterday, so they stopped it and gave him benadryl. He was able to finish the push, and is now home doing his 40 hour treatment (via a chemo pump).

Who knows what the next scans will show!

    Hi Maria
I'm glad! to hear the good news, but saddened that your brother got this at such a young age. I'm wearing "my shadow" too today :-p

All the best to your brother and you!

    Yes, it's via a pump...
Mike does his chemo at home. He gets a three hour "push", at a higher rate, at Roswell, then does the rest at home. We think that this Monday will be his last chemo session, then he will switch to a pill. His oncologist told him 8 doses was the maximum. He has had some issues with GI bleeds because the chemo has shrunk the cancer so much.

He goes in Monday, and we are hoping that because it has shrunk, we may have more options.
