STEF!!!!! Oh sweet sister! I am in utter shock and disbelief reading you post! On the one hand I have an inkling of how it feels to think we just can't have to battle the beast again after such a long time ( I as you know, was rediagnosed after 8 years of Dancing With NED)...but OMG sweet Stef~ your Den!!!! I am so glad that progress has already been made ~ may he continue to improve and get ever stronger. You are in the thoughts, prayers and enveloped by the courage and strength that all of the Kindred Spirits have to offer.

    Thanks for letting us know...((((((((hugs))))))

Stef .. I am so so so Sorry.
The recurrence, now Den your sweetheart! You have your hands full with health issues --- I just wish they would all go away -- and stay away.

Does your insurance provide occupational therapy to help with Den's speech? Who's going to tend and take of you, dear one?

Prayers and positive thoughts coming your way, Stef.

    Strength, Courage and Hope.

    Thank you all for the
Thank you all for the support. Yes, he will have therapists coming to the house, physical, speech and occupational and a home health nurse to check on his leg wound that we were going to wound care before all this began. We had hoped he would come home today but his heartrate is elevated and when he was doing his therapy (walking and balancing) it would go up more. So he didn't do the stairs that he did yesterday. They have restarted his beta blocker and blood pressure meds today (had him off them to let his blood pressure increase and help the sleeping cells) and when I left just a bit ago the heart rate was much improved. The doctor felt he should remain one more day and if the meds were doing the job then come home. So the plan is for him to be home tomorrow. Denise and Kyle are both helping us so much. I can home and she had cleaned our little living room, bathroom and bedroom top to bottom. Even changed the cat's water and food and litter and dusted and vacuumed and well, everything. The kids helped her. I was so touched and so happy because my mind has been going so fast with needing to get foods that Den will like pureed, getting the Thick it stuff, just getting all the supplies that we want to have on hand. And I was planning to do all this cleaning tonight. Den was very tired this afternoon so we both decided that I should come home at 5 and he would try to sleep. Neither of us has had much. He can't wait to get his, as he says, his own chair and bed and just be here. I am just so happy that he is making good progress. I am sure he will continue to do so. Even with this stroke he still worries very much about me. And I worry about him. But we will get through this because we draw strength from each other and from Denise and Kyle. And, as Den says, who can ever feel down with the grandbabies around.
Your thoughts and prayers really help to lighten this load. As far as my bladder recurrence, they seem to be very tiny and we have a plan should there be another recurrence. Bladder cancer has a tendency to do this. And yes, Chen, it sucks to reach that point you think it safe to go back in woods and one of those darn bears jumps out at you. But all we can do is face it head on, do what we must and hope for the best. I still refuse to let worrying about tomorrow, rob me of today. And I still have my glass. Those that have known me for a while know that some people look at the glass as half full, some as half empty but me, I'm just glad I have a glass.
    Love to all of you,
    Stef
And Joe you really touched my heart. Moopy and you would have been the first to console me and to tell me it would be aright. I am so blessed to have your kind thoughts and prayers.
This is truly the most amazing group of people that I have the previlege to know.
Good wishes for everyone's health and happiness.
