We're at my 2 sons ball
We're at my 2 sons ball tournament, Provincials, teams from all over Ontario in Owen Sound. Lost the first game 1-0. Second game the kids rocked it, my son pitched exceptionally well, and the other son had a home run, over the fence which brought in 3 runs. Won the game 9-2, getting really hot here for the afternoon. Play again later in the afternoon. Hope they can keep the adrenaline from this win going into the next game!!!

    Enjoy the match smokey!
    Happy long weekend!

    Camping
Thanks for the Holiday wishes - that is nice that you have followed our holiday traditions. Even the big turkey days :) We went camping, but today they lost power and therefore, there was no water anywhere in the park. No water meant having to leave. Going potty 15 times a day requires plenty of water. Hubby stayed up there with the kids and grandkids (power came on about an hour after I'd left, but couldn't trust it). Got to enjoy it there for the four days we were there though. Have fun at the beach house. That must be awesome.

I'm glad so many are doing fun things this weekend...no matter the limitations, we don't let cancer take away all pleasures! I've been doing so much every weekend lately and have a trip coming up on the 8th-13th (driving from Utah to Arizona for a wedding)...so, this weekend I'm staying home from the crowds and hullabaloo. I'm working in my garden some, catching up on a few chores, painting a portrait due for delivery soon, we'll have a special dinner for the 4th that includes strawberry shortcake and perhaps we'll go to our little town's fireworks show :)

    bikers in Oatman
    Pepe,

We usually see all the bikers in the bar in the ghost town Oatman when we go there. We're planning on going there Tuesday- it's always interesting there. They have wild donkeys that walk all over the town, supposedly they are leftover from the old mining days.

    Hi Pepe,

In many of our states, most fireworks are illegal and we only get to see them on the 4th as they are displayed by various towns, set off by professionals. You can buy illegal ones by going to the neighboring states that allow or going to native american reservations to buy...but you aren't supposed to bring them back into an illegal state...so in the states I have resided most (Oregon, Washington, Iowa and Utah) fireworks are kinda rare. This year Utah made them legal, so everyone is lighting them off like crazy every night for the month of seasonal allowance. For the 4th we decided to drive to a high overlook of the Salt Lake Valley communities and watched what looked to be bright, colorful flowers bursting everywhere in the dark...below us was a veritable carpet of fireworks across the valley all the way to the horizon in every direction. I've never seen anything like it before! :)

Perhaps we'll pass on the highway :)
"We're going to Laughlin, Nevada which is along the Colorado River at the Nevada/Arizona border."

    Hi Lisa,
I've never been to Laughlin but I've heard they have a great motorcycle rally there once per year. Donkeys are cool too...but, bikes...bikes...more bikes...yum!

We're going to Arizona on Thursday, with a stop in Vegas so my kids can see the "Pawn Stars". Perhaps we'll pass on the highway or be in a rest stop at the same time?

One never knows...I'll be lookin' out for ya :)

I kn ow I am a day late but
I kn ow I am a day late but read all f your plans. Here in Canada we have C anada day on July 1st, the same as in the USA july 4th, Fireworks and family and parades etc etc. I drove with daughters family to Pigeon Lake in Alberta, my 13 year old granddaughter was singing there for the crowds of people, she did a great job I am so proud of her.The next day I drove to my partners lakehouse and I am staying here for a few weeks. we are planning fishing and camping trips.we have a motorhome and a camper. We are just back from a trip to the other end of Canada, Montreal Quebec. i used to live there and was visiting friends and relatives. My bathrooms trips are down to a normal 2 or 3 per day Yuppee!!
Occasionally I have a bad day depends on what I was eating or drinking. My juicing is working our great, lots of energy, pricy, but worth it. I can recommend it.
