This forum really needs to update its interface to include a full text editor for commenting, which would provide many functions we'd enjoy, not just a link maker...bold, colored text, more than one size font, etc...

But then again, perhaps some posts would become annoying when people took things too far?

    Who??? Us???
    make this annoying???
    never happen!!!
    ;-)

Plain and simple is enough for many who are not techies. It is supposed to be informational. I do know what you mean though and have seen plenty of sites that give the user options for editing. It seems that their server is straining much of the time as it is with user overload!
This is a good time to be geeky because now we can dazzle with our fonts, colors, links etc...
I'm still trying to get around the blocking of posting images. We used to be able to do that in the "good old days"

Thank you all for the links
Thank you all for the links and the life links, so much to read not enough hours in the day.
    So much to learn also.
You guys are all great. Thanks again.
    Marjan
PS the dogs are my daughters. I had to give my dog to a good home, because I am renting right now. I miss her terrible, but had no choice otherwise we would be both homeless.

    hmmm
In the good ol'days, were you pasting a pic directly into the post, displaying an image from another server or just a link to the image?

sorry to hear you had to give up your dog
it reminds me of a not so funny story.

when keith was going to be born 5 years ago i decided to give mel a dog. we had permission for one dog on the lease where we rented. well at the pet swhop we saw 2 beautiful black curly aussie shepard poodle crosses. they were brothers. we could not choose so we got both.

we when the owner found out months later that was the reason we were evicted. the extrA DOG

it worked out better in the end, but for a while we would hide one of the dogs and pretend we only had one, they were identical.

    hugs,
    pete

    Images
You'd have to use the "image source" tag but that doesn't work anymore nor does any link with the file names of images (j p g, g i f, p n g) So it was really both usual ways to post an image. I've even tried writing in hexidecimal code but it doesn't work either...
It was even difficult to make this post!
