Long term survivor GBM STAGE IV TODAY IS YEAR AFTER SUGERY BACK IN 2006

Feel like I have been there and done it through the 5 years living with this cancer Temador 6 weeks radiation CPT-11 WITH AVASTIN Bone Marrow sample spinal tap countles labs for blood samples, 2 rounds of Gamma Knife surgery but still here and enjoying life to my fullest capabilities. Yes my left side has shut down. I am still joking and looking foward to the next sunrise. Still workin full time an love doing it.The besy advice I can offer is live your life get up and go, take it one day at a time Fact is no one lives forever and to my knowledge no one gets out of here alive. Yes Cancer sucks but let it know your strong and you choose to fight.

    Our Story...
My kid’s dad is my ex-husband who had his first symptom of GBM4 on Mar 2, 2011.

This started with a seizure, a ct-scan and MRI made the preliminary diagnosis. To Columbia University, NYC in the pouring rain and local flooding, surgery was performed on Mar 8th. The biopsy made the final diagnosis and out came the tumor. The primary tumor was located in the right parietal lobe and another small tumor was located on the base of the brain. The small tumor was left in place as the “gamma knife” will deal with it.

Mar 28th he started his first cycle of chemo and RT. We are all hopeful, me, my kids, his wife and her kids!
