My aunt has stage 4 colon cancer, her son has stage 3 esophageal cancer, her husband had beginning alzheimers and used a walker, his life consisted of going from bed to bathroom to dining room table and back again, he suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on May 17th, burial was Saturday the 21st, today I get a call saying my cousin (my aunt's son with esophageal cancer) is in the hospital undergoing emergency surgery for a collapsed lung, they haven't told my aunt yet. I'm not sure why I'm posting this here, but posting does calm me some for some reason. I do wonder how much more she can handle.

I still keep you all in my prayers.

Marianne

Sometimes just to talk about it is a tremendous stress reliever and gives you the outlet to not leave it bottled up inside of you.

What a week is right! All of you have been through so much.

Wishing for things to settle down for you so you can catch your breath....so very sorry all of this has happened to your family. Condolences on the loss of your aunt's husband and sending healing wishes for your family.

    Hi Marianne,

I think posting and just getting your feelings out is helpful to your soul, mental spirit, stress level, etc. I know it is for me, so post away anytime you need support or just want to talk about something!
I'm sorry for what your family is going through- keep us posted on it & I hope and pray your cousin in the hospital with the collapsed lung does well.

    Hugs to you,
    Lisa

    venting
    Hi Marianne,
Venting is allways good. I have a journal I vent in, cry in and mark happy things in. When I read back, I am amazed how many blessed moments I have had and how little sad moments, because when I vent there is allways someone who comes along and picks me up. THAt is a blessed moment.
I wish you strength, and lots of love, sending you prayers and love,
    Marjan

    Awful
She has a lot going on right now. So sorry about your uncle, cousin and aunt. Telling her now is going to be devestating, but she needs to know sometime. Will keep them in thoughts and prayers.
