i am a stage 4 lung cancer with mets to the brain and spine....
i have completly abandoned conventional cancer treatments for alternative treatments...Diet,with an emphasis on organic vegetables, whole grains and small amounts of animal protein.........NO DAIRY PRODUCTS...NONE...NO CHEESE...NO MILK...NO BUTTER....
and many more things have had to be deleted but these things pale in importance when compared to the value of health.
please educate your self about the facts of what goes into your body...

Beg,Borrow,or Steal the following books.

THE CHINA STUDY
OUTSMART YOUR CANCER
HEALING WITH WHOLE FOODS

I'm not going to tell my story but i will tell that i have taken control of my treatment and seem to be making progress, yes i have had mets to the brain and will soon have another brain scan, but no cancer below the neck at this time.

to rely soley on chemotherapy, radiation and the wholesale advice of a profit driven industry as i once did and many continue to do,is not going to increase your chances of defeating cancer.

good luck...start now by throwing away your can opener.

Profit-driven industry (as opposed to the other ?? kind)
I'm all for eating healthy and in fact was doing so, along with swimming six miles and biking 30 miles a week, until diagnosis, after which the priority became piling on weight as fast as possible, which eating healthy will not do for you.

But for our audience at home, I have to throw out the following credibility quiz: Which is more likely?

    a) Your doctor is deliberately withholding life-extending treatments from you;
    b) Whole legions of scientists are bypassing that Nobel nomination by ignoring effective cancer cures;
    c) Somebody's trying to sell books by getting you to believe (a) and (b).

Profit driven industry, indeed. Largely evidence-free and responsibility-free as well.

I wish you would tell your story, it would make you more credible, instead of looking like a sales person.

    Love your response Ex...
Love your response Ex, I couldn't have said it any better or any nicer. I post on two different forums and see so many posts like this one and they all come off as salesmen for one book or another. It always amazes me that these people have never posted before except to sell their ideas.

Sorry, I try to eat healthy but I'm not giving up conventional treatment.

    Stay well,
    Glenna

    I agree Ex.
I tell this story NOT to solicit calendar sales but to add emphasis to what you said EX. I decided I needed to try and give back to Cancer Research after my surgery. So to that end I designed and am now selling desk calendars of my photographs. No sales pitch...I am far away in Canada. One friend wouldn't buy a calendar because there is already a cure but they aren't telling us because cancer is too profitable a disease for the drug companies etc. Wow that is hard to hear.

    What????
I thought I'd heard everything but I've never heard about this cure. Wish your friend would share this with all of us who are still fighting.

    i appreciated your massage
i appreciated your message about cancer fighting foods, but there is alot of people on this site battling with alot of things and i don;t thinks its fair to anyone for you to bash doctors, and say such hate driven things. nobody needs your hostility in a time of grief. I am not trying to be rude, i just believe that telling people not to listen to what schooled professionals say is wrong and you should take those feelings and comments to a more appropriate place.

I have heard this before. If they can put a man on the moon then why wouldn't they have a cure for cancer. I asked her what the correlation was between finding a cancer cure and putting a man on the moon. She couldn't answer except that it was profitable for the drug companies if no cure was brought forward. You can't argue with people like this.

The supposed profitability of keeping people sick

Well said. The "black helicopter" crowd serves nobody. I don't think it would be hard to build a case that withholding a cure could be less profitable than revealing it, even if profit were the only motive. I'm pretty cynical about the role of money nowadays, but even I am not THAT cynical. I don't even want to think of how many people would be roasted over a slow fire if it were ever revealed that they did withhold such information. Also left unstated in that fractured line of reasoning is exactly how the drug companies have managed to get all the scientists and doctors to shut up and let people suffer and die in droves in service to their P+L statements.

The claim can't stand up to scrutiny, no matter how good somebody might think it would look on a bumper sticker.

The man-on-the-moon comparison is a sure sign of a non-thinking person. Accomplishing that was a matter of math, nuts and bolts, and mechano-electrical doo-dads, and therefore pretty much totally under our control if we were careful. Besides, we, not God, made the machinery.

By contrast, try understanding the life processes of even a simple organism, let alone a person. Good luck. I think biology and logic courses should be universally required, doggone it!

Again, definitely not arguing against eating smart.

    innoculation profits
    Cannot agree more.

Just imagine how profitable it would be if there were cancer innoculations like polio, chickenpox etc. Or pills that keep cancer in check like cholesterol. Immense.

Also imagine how many of those "witholding" a cure let a loved one such as a spouse, parent or child succumb to cancer in order to keeps profits going. It just doesn't happen.

There is just no rational reason to withhold a cure.... but there are many reasons to promote unresearched or debunked "cures."
