Hi all,
I am sure that you all are snug in your beds, sleeping like regular folks do. Me, I am wide awake and can not sleep. Not sure why. Thinking it may be stress or meds or who knows.
Been having some weird tingling in my hands and some tightness in my chest. Trying to not worry and over think things. But, of course I do. Sometimes i just feel less stressed if I type out what I'm thinking. Night time sure is quiet and lonley.

    Not alone
    Lisha,
Nope, you are not alone out there. Its almost 4am in the morning here on the east coast and I am wide eyed and bushy tailed. I have a cold thats kicking my A$$. Had it for 2 weeks now. I fall asleep and wake myself up coughing. I can't believe how much snot came out of my head. Hold on it gets sexier. No, I better stop there and leave you in suspense. I rarely ever get sick and have never had a cold thats lasted this long and as strong. I've had the chills the day sweats, the fever, congestion constantly since I was in Md 2 weeke ago. I have used every medicine in the book, but no relief as of yet. Guess it will just have to run its course. All my counts are good so it shouldn't be a weakened immune system. Never got a flu shot.I have known to many people that have and stayed sick all winter. Besides I am being experimented on enough with all the other drugs they pump into me.Hold on a second I got to cough. Ok I am back, sorry. Well guess I will just surf the net for a while between blowing my nose and sneezing and coughing. Tell me I'm not a multi-tasker. John

    Me too!!!
Wow...this is un-real!!! It's 3:09 and I too am wide awake. My problem is caused from me falling asleep in my chair at 6:30 and then Steve going off to bed and not waking me up. I woke up at 10:00 and of course...now here I sit feeling like I've slept all night...UGH!.I've read half of one of the books I've been reading, but I'm sure going to be draggin through my tracks tomorrow..ha! Darn good thing I don't have to get up and go to a job! Sorry the two of you are wide awake also, but at least you know your not alone. I think if your cold doesn't get better John, you might should call the doc. I don't know what to say about your meds Lisha...maybe it will just take a bit longer before your body adjusts to them. Well fellow night owls...I'm going to try to make myself sleep...wish me luck. Hope you two can also...night...Sue..(3:21 a.m)

    Benedryl
    Benedryl and a hot bath.

    sometimes it works.

Try coating your feet with vicks mentholatum and put socks on John. It will help the cough.

    Cough
    Beth,
I have been taking the benedryl tablets. They work for a little while and then in the early morning hours I am coughing my brains out. I will try the vicks mentholatum on the feet. I heard that a long time time ago. Only thing is the dogs won't lick my toes and I will miss that.LOL John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)

    Hi Lisha,

Are you having trouble sleeping only one night? If so, I wouldn't worry
about it. Even though I hate baths, I do find a hot bath and hot milk very
helpful for a good night sleep. If you're not a diabetic, try eating your
favorite sugar treat with the hot milk. I also find Chinese food knocks me
    out.

Hopefully the pain in your chest just happened once. Even once is too much,
and might be a warning. Please if you have any doubts, please go to your doctor.
You have been through so much, perhaps it caught up with you.

I hope you have a peaceful night of sleep. Love Maggie

    Steroids
    Hey Michele,
Oh man..I sure know the crabby bear feeling when taking the steroids...mine was 60mg a day of prednisone for the first 5 days during chemo week. I was a raving lunatic during those 5 days..UGH! My heart goes out to you Michele and I definenetly can relate. I'm moving slow as a snail today, but have managed to get a few things done. No naps for me...I plan on sleeping tonight! Hang in there...Love..Sue
