    Fearless
    Hi Jermain,
I listened to so much in the rad room but would have to say Fearless by Pink Floyd. The song is inspirational but also something about Pink Floyd's music cancels out the ringing in my ears from the Cisplatin.
I'm curious about your cancer Jermain. On your "about me" page it says you had cervical cancer yet your name seems like a man's name. Also curious about the support you might need from a head and neck cancer board for cervical cancer. Of course we're here to support any brother or sister with any cancer but we're probably most useful to an H&N survivor. How can we best support you? Thanks for the interesting topics.

    Bob

    thanks
Thanks for pointing that out. I access this site from a touchscreen phone didn't see that mistake.lol i was diagnosed with nasopharyengeal cancer in July of 09 I began treatment around November. I did 7 weeks of radiation and 2 of 3 rounds of chemo at Barnes siteman cancer center. I assure u I am a 21 year old cancer survivor.

I too am NPC. You're about a year ahead of me as I just finished up treatment 3 1/2 months ago. How is your health now? I imagine you did pretty well in treatment being so young. I hate to read about young people getting cancer but the truth is we generally do better. I'm 39, not as young as you but younger than most I suppose. I did well with the treatments and hope to have a clean PET/CT in the next month or so. Welcome again to the board. Glad to find out you're not a man with cervical cancer.

    Song
My song is by Bryan Ferry "To Dance with Life" (Brilliant Light).

It reminds me to dance even during the worst of times. Dance like no one is watching.

Why I'm helping Stacey torture you, I don't know...
I suppose it's my sick sense of humor, that, and-since she has posted this kitchy little tune months ago, it's been indellibly etched into my brain, and I figure, why should I suffer this by myself? Hmm? So here's a link:

    CLASSIC MR TROLOLO

    Lalalalala lalala lalala lalalalalaaaaa!

    Take it to the Limit
by the Eagles has become my fight song. I didn't have one during treatment as I pretty much just relied on terror for that. I use it now to accomplish unpleasant goals associated with post treatment and beyond!

    If You're Going Through
If You're Going Through Hell- Rodney Atkins

    If you're going through hell
    Keep on going
    Don't slow down
Of you're scared don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there

    If you're going through hell
    Keep on moving
    Face that fire
    Walk right through it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there.

And sorry to inform you that treatment didn't go well for me. Lots of hospital visits. My recovery was rapid I mean I would get better by the hour, thanks to god and my youth. I'm just glad to be done with it all, I had a clean scan about 3 weeks ago. Best of luck to u on your scans

    Stacey and Sweet,

Make it stop, Daddy - it hurts.

If I had thought of during treatment, though, I SURELY would have relied on "Dragostea Din Tei" by O-Zone (the "Numa Numa" or "Maya Hee" song). It makes my soul happy every time I hear that song, cause I see that guy in my head - adore him. Dragostea Din Tei

    Soul Man
During Rads I played the best of Luther Vandross. It made me feel serene and I love his voice. As for hitting it hard later, Right Now, by Van Halen. Now that I've had Rads, my voice is about 4 octives lower than before so I can't sing anymore, except maybe a little Barry White, ha!!

    All the best
