    Yes! Puerto Rico!
So glad you asked! I am flying to Puerto Rico tomorrow! I am SOO excited. It will be part work, part play. I'm still on chemo (Xeliri plus Avastin) but my onc let me postpone my next treatment for one week. And I'm still feeling a few side effects from the 3 weeks of radiation I had. But, heck -- I'd rather feel a little lousy sitting under a palm tree! Did I mention how excited I am?!?

    Love to all

    Tara

ps my oncologist said "postponing your treatment by one week will not affect your disease status -- but this holiday will have a huge positive effect on your quality of life". What a good man....

I should add I am carrying enough drugs with me (prescription, that is) to open a small pharmacy in Puerto Rico -- I am prepared for anything!!

    Fun
Well, just for fun today, I borrowed my brother-in-law's lawnmower and went out in the 100 degree heat and mowed my 2 foot tall grass. Have been waiting for 3 weeks for mine in the repair shop. Picked it up yesterday. They did $250 worth of work on it and guess what, it wouldn't start. So I gave it back to them.
I can finally have another yard sale since I cut the lawn. I was afraid the unmowed grass would scare everyone away. So I'll be up at 5 AM to set everything up and sell, sell, sell(I hope, LOL!)

Drop by if you're in the neighborhood. The only person here that I know of who lives nearby is Angelsbaby.

Will be calling Johnnybegood tomorrow to see how she is feeling after her second chemo. She had just one treatment of the oxy/5FU and the onc changed her to Irinotecan(sp). He was afraid her neuropathy would get much worse on the oxy. So this will be a totally new chemo for her with a whole new set of side effects.

    Everyone have a great weekend.

    Luv,

    Wolfen

    unexpected fish lunch with friend
been waiting for bottom to recover, i can almost sit and smile again.

nothing special planned, so when a good friend popped over last night to catchup we wentout to a local fish restaurant.

he sleptover , but got up early while high tide a caught 3 fish off our beach in the backyard. a flathead and two bream which we had for lunch.

they tasted so fresh and nice. just resting this weekend, had another good 4 hour after lunch super chemo nap. i need to pack for our 18 night family camping holiday.

Wow how lucky you are !
Love your rides , no deers in an area of 100 Km. from Barcelona .Here in the city just wing rats, hahaha, I mean seagulls and doves! Ahh! some wild boars who comes from the hills near the city ,people use to feed them and now they don't fear people any more , the other day police had to kill a family in the financial district, can you imagine a family of porks in the middle of a street plenty of 40 floor buildings ? HahahaCrazy !
BtW I'd like to see one picture of your rides!

I will try to remember my camera next time!
We live right next to the foothills so it takes 10 minutes on a bike to get to the trail head. The deer are in an area protected from hunters so we get to see a few in the winter because they come down low. In this particular area we have prairie dogs (not so spectacular since they multiply quickly), bunnies (same story HA HA) deer, some rattlers, crane, pelicans and lots of gulls or wing (never heard this term before pretty funny, rats(amazing for being landlocked!)It is really nice! I will try to post pics and will let you know when I have them. I would love to visit Spain and have put it on my bucket list!
    Hugs to you Friend!

Shanna this is my own term, as you can imagine in a 4
million people city seagulls and doves are not the nice animals we can see in the beach or in the bush , they eat everything , and seagulls became aggressive , they spoil any historical building with their s....t.City council has deployed groups of falcons near historical areas just to try to afraid them but no way. Now is completely forbidden to feed doves in down town they became a plague !..Well just let me know whenever you want to come ,You will be always welcome !

we have a similar problem with the geese
Our winters can be pretty mild here on the Front Range of the Rockies and the Canadaian Geese have over-wintered so many years that they now do not go home! We actually have a law on the books forbidding the harassment of the geese or you can expect jail time! HA HA they poop everywhere and are really a nusiance but have become part of our landscape and city logo!!! When people move here they love to see them flying and in the parks but the novelty quickly wears off! Thanks for the offer same to you if you ever get to Colorado!

Geese look much cleaner but doves here are taking a terrible
pollution color! hahaha and seagulls .... I been working in a big shipyard , some times our site operators had to inspect the huge sheds we had ,enormous ones capable to dock a ferry inside! so they use to be lifted to the roof every 3 months to inspect it and they use to find any think even a monkey skeleton from the zoo which was broad there and eaten by a seagull! believe it!. Really disgusting !.
Hahaha this post is becoming a class of zoology !.
