Good question! You should really look through some of the posts here. There are available treatments. It really depends on several different things, no one size fits all answer... tumor size, number of tumors, has it spread to other areas or organs. My brother is stage 4 with spinal mets, and although at first we were at least given the opportunity to try Nexavar, a chemo pill, he is no longer a good candidate. Many others on these boards have had good results, from what I have read. There are some other things that I have seen people mention but am not at all familiar with. I wish you the very best and hope you are able to arm yourself with good information here. it really is helpful, in knowing what to ask or expect from your Doctors. I have always felt like knowledge is half the battle.

I wish you well on this journey,

    Nexevar
My brother has had several issues one of which is bleeding varices. It was exxplained to us that when you have liver cancer that you don't clot as well, therefore you have tinner blood. Nexevar has been known to have blood thinning properties. He also has a blood clot in his lung, We were also told that people with any kind of cancer, seem to have more blood clots. So for him, he got it from both directions. In his case the risks out weighed the benefits. I have heard stories of good results with Nexevar, each case is so familiar ,yet so different.

He was only able to take it for 21 days.
