New Doctor approved cancer website

My oncs office gave me some new forms to fill out and they have advocated a new website, it's actually really good. Cancer.net

Lots of great information and approved by oncologists.

    You crack me up
LOL. I love you John, you crack me up.

Over to the left click on Cancer Types. Then it will list alphabetical ranges. Click on L
scroll down and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma is at the bottom. I know, it took me a few tries too.

    Hi Beth,
Thanks for the web-site. I knowticed it was up-dated March 2010, so thats good...so many web-sites arn't current. It still bugs me though that even with a current doctor recommended web-site like this one we still read the same old stuff. For example with FNHL...this web-site says..guote..."There is no known cure; about 50% of people survive at least eight to 10 years after diagnosis". It always leaves me thinking.."which 50% am I in"? Even if I'm in the 8 to 10 year "good" bracket, I'm thinkin..hmmm..I'm only 60 now"...8 to 10 more years? Thats just not enough for me! That might sound a bit "greedy" on my part, but I'm kinda thinkin 15 or 20 is a better #. I guess I'm going to have to keep my positive thinking in over-drive "all" of the time...because I WON'T accept 8 to 10...just not gonna do it. Anyways Beth...I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. You have some things to take care of and it won't be easy...but you "WILL" do it and be just fine, and we will have your back the whole way.
Love ya...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)...with no date stamped on her foot!hahaha!

    date
I refuse to pay attention to timelines Sue. I was 41 when I was diagnosed so 8 to 10 years is not to my liking either especially since I am 5 years down this road.

I'm not sure when they did reference this website, since I just had to re-do that paperwork since it's been so long since I did chemo. Didn't notice the dates.

I am doing the best I can moment by moment. I really hate cancer.

    Talk to you later,
    Beth

ps. The info on the SCT is where I am currently focused.

    Foot Stamp
Hey everybody, just like Sue I checked the bottoms of my feet and I did NOT see any date stamped on them. I will check again in about 20 years. This seems as positive as we can get, Right? John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)

    DR VISIT
When I went for my blood test just before I had my Dr. visit I asked about any progress in the cure for lymphoma. He said they are always doing experiments with it and sometimes it takes a long while to get any real results, but strides have been made in the last year. He said even the Drs are unaware until the results have all been computated and logged,so all is a little behind on updated results. John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)
