Steve is out of surgery, doing well!!

in Esophageal Cancer #1
Steve is out of surgery, surgeon is pleased with results. Margins clear in eshophagus. Now we just wait for path report on nodes.

He is awake very allert. BP running a little low right now so getting some blood. Thanks to everyone for their prayers.

I will keep you updated.

    Great to hear Steve is doing well. Now let's hope for positive news from the pathology and swallow (leak) tests. I remember how hard it was to go for those 5 days without even a drink of water. Steve will appreciate having a glass of water and a swab so he can at least wet his mouth and lips.

    I will continue to pray for positive progress and test results.

    Great to hear Nancy and Steve! Way to go! Take it easy now. Remember Steve, slow and easy wins the race!
    Give yourself plenty of time to recover. I know that the BP does seem to run lower after a major surgery.
    It will come back to normal soon. Keep up the good work. Keep us up to date!

    Update on Steve
    Thanks everyone for you prayers. 24 hours out now and still doing well. BP is up, they have given him blood and fluids. Has good spirits. We have a long road go, but we take one day at a time and enjoy this moment of knowing their is no longer cancer in the esophagus. Margins are clear and I got the beautiful pleasure of telling him that. We know we still are waiting on the path of the nodes, but celebrate this news today.

    I am so glad that Steve's surgery went well and he is doing better. That is great news that the surgeon is pleased with the outcome. I pray the pathology will come back clear for you.
