    Sorry to hear this
I hope your job will be OK, but it will probably be more work for you if you do get to stay.

    Hang in there,

Thanks to everyone for the support. I had the meeting. I still have my job. Phew!! As for the extra work, well they had someone move into our group from another department to help me out and he really was not working out well. I was still doing most of his job and he also created way more work for me. So it is business as usual.

THanks again for the support and the encouragement. I really appreciate it. Normally these things don't stress me out but right now I just don't want to be dealing with any big change.

    much love.

So glad you kept your job!!!!!!
Big sigh of relief~ though of course I feel so bad for those employees who had to go home without a job to come to tomorrow. Hard times, indeed.

Glad you managed to keep your job
You don't need that extra stress right now. Hope things ease up for you a bit so that you can take a breath. Take good care of yourself right now. Stress can really mess you up.

    Hugs, Renee

Thank-you. I am relieved to still have my job and I admit the whole evening I felt bad for the 3 people in our group who lost their jobs. The coworker I mentioned was 4 years from retirement with a skill set that is no longer needed, hence the reason he was trying to learn something new in our group, with difficulty as well. He has a family, 2 kids in college. It is not easy for anyone when this happens.

A big sigh of relief from me too Mariam
I am so glad to hear that you got to keep your job. You
certainly don't need any added stress.

But I am like you... very soft hearted and I too would have
felt for my coworker. These are hard times to be out of
work. And he has family depending on him and so close
to his retirement.. that breaks my heart. Hopefully he can
    find something else.
