How to meet other young survivors friends/relationships etc

I'm 21 years old and I'm cancer free for 2 and half years now. I would like to meet and make friends with other survivors. I have no friends who are survivors and I also know no one who is a survivor. I find it hard to have a relationship with someone who has not been through what I have been through. Fighting for your life really changes everything about you, atleast for me it did.
Anyway, how do I find other young survivors? I feel very alone. Lately this has been depressing me, and I'm a happy person!
Girls/women usually don't imagine their ideal mate to be a cancer survivor with scars etc lol :D

Thanks friends

PS: I checked out cisforcupid but it seems like their website is down. Are they down for good?

C is for cupid didn't have anyone in my city!! I checked it out a few months ago.
Dating is hard-- like you said your outlook on life changes and it would be nice to find another survivor who understands this. I wish you luck!

    Yep
I was diagnosed stage 3C ovca at age 30. I have the same scar, plus more. I've had 4 surgeries. Nobody could possibly understand what we have been thru unless they have experienced it themselves.

    Hi
I'm 18 and in treatment for colon cancer, so I know how you feel. I'm engaged and my girlfriend has always been there for me regardless of the cancer and scars, you just have to find the right one!

    try asking at the Hospital
I go to a young cancer survivors group. I got a business card for the one I go to when I started my treatment. Have you asked at the nearby hospitals cancer centers? sometimes they know about support groups in the area or they might even have one (the hospital I go to has cancer support groups, mostly older people, but the one I go to is in a nearby town). You could even start one. we only meet once a month at a hospital cancer center classroom. nothing fancy just a bunch of women sitting around talking about different things going on in our lives. We are all in different stages of survivor-ship. Hope this helps.

    I really like scars actually
I completely understand where you are coming from. After going through everything you've gone through you're different. I don't think its a bad thing. I like who I became after everything. I'm a little punk with all my scars. I changed a bit from being really happy just because its hard. I'm still kind of angry about everything I've had to deal with. I know a lot of people who aren't survivors don't get it. I would love to get to know you and talk. Hope to hear from you.
