Brecon Cathedral
Today I visited Brecon Cathedral (among other places) in Wales, and they had a book to write down the names of people who needed prayers, so I wrote down your names, collectively, knowing that the powers above knows who you are. It is a beautiful and ancient building (1093), and had a wonderful, reverent feeling. My…

Good morning. Folfox treatment 10 today
Well ladies and gentleman, I'm getting ready to go in for #10 of 12 folfox treatments. It would seem that I'd be used to it but I feel like a lamb to slaughter. Going back for more poison is tough. In any case, I will go and then there will be only two left. Thank God for family and friends. Yolanda update at bottom

Ostemy reversal, what to expect?
Hi, me posting again. It'll be a long time before I can have it reversed but I'm trying to get rid of whatever worries I possibly can. Having cancer is enough of a worry in general. I'm wondering how often the reversal goes well as far as the system starting back up again. I spoke to my surgeon about if the amount of time…

Hello everyone! I really need some help and I'm hoping I'm not bringing up something that's already been addressed but I probably am. I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer on Dec 31, 2013. I had an ostemy done at the end of January and a port-a-cath inserted in February. The tumour was advanced enough that my surgeon…

Stage 4
My husband was diagnosed back in 2011 stage 4. He had a resection and they removed everything they could see. Everything went good until it showed up again. A mass in his liver near the main artery. Out of options
This has been a hard week. I brought my husband into the ED last Thursday because of vomiting, thinking he had another obstruction. CT scan that night showed lymph node tumor pressing on duodenum not allowing anything to pass from stomach so it was an obstruction, but from the outside of gi tract. Nasty NG tube needed to…

Update
I'm now 4 days since FOLFOXIRI/bev treatment two of six (treatment #25 overall). This round was a lot better managed. I am now eating more and fatigue is waning. Diarrhea was not as bad and although nausea was an issue I seem to be beyond this as well. And as I previously reported, CEA dropped from 18 to 11, giving us…

Interesting. Free Cancer course
Interesting. http://trulyheal.com/course/truly-heal-cancer-guide/ Anyone try Bentonite clay? I'm taking it internally and externally. If it doesn't kill toxins, it does totally relax you and clear up your face. http://youtu.be/Fp3getUzKXA

Liver resection went great!
Thank you everyone for your prayers, good vibes and well wishes, the surgery went off without a hitch and I'm doing fine. The docs are very happy, good margins (they check before they close me up- I didn't know that,) only 1 met and no other concerns when they poked around. I have an epidural in now, IV Tylenol and…

Results from MRI
Thank you all for keeping me in thought and prayers. Good news and they are being cautious. It doesn't look like cancer but there are two areas of caution that could just be related to chemo and radiation in the back of the hip area. They said the way it looks does not look like metastic but won't rule it out. Therefore…

ER Visit :(
Last week I started to have lower abdominal pain. I thought I had a UTI. The pain got progressively worse and I thought I might have a kidney stone, the pain was just on the right side. By Monday I thought I was going to die, so Monday night went to the ER. We just moved 3 months ago so I didn't know any Drs and my onc is…

Tests, More Tests, and a Couple Questions
It seems like I have spent the last few weeks going from one test to another or knocked out with anesthesia. Yikes. It's been a year since surgery, so it was colonoscopy time (even though my tumor was in the small intestine). Everything looks good! I do have a hemorrhoid that was described as "fibrous" in nature (not like…

FOLFOXIRI/bev Treatment 2 of 6
Heading into UMHS for CEA test, general blood work, meeting with onc, then treatment 2 on Thursday 9/18. I'm already anxious. I should be sleeping right now but instead I'm tossing and turning. What if CEA is not impacted by treatment 1? What if my blood work reveals issues? Diarrhea was a much bigger issue than past…
