Lifestyle changes
PJS2005 asked about whether we survivors have instituted any lifestyle changes since diagnosis, so I decided to start a separate thread to hear what others have done and tell you what I've done. I have indeed changed quite a few things, not only because of my breast cancer diagnosis, but it certainly played a significant…

If you worked full-time at diagnosis, was employer sympathetic to time out beyond FMLA?
I am newly diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and will need surgery, chemo and radiation. I work full-time and I am concerned about my job and health benefits. I am an "exempt" employee (not hourly). I don't want to say a lot about my job as my mgr or co-workers may see this post. I'll just say that it is a professional…

Tamoxifen and menstrual cycle
I have been taking Tamoxifen since October last year. Since then, my menstrual cycle produced increasingly and substantially less blood each month. Should I be worried about it (that is, what kind of problems may it cause to my body and health?) In particular, will I suffer some terrible gynecological problems from not…

22 Things to Bring to Chemo
riI saw this on Facebook and thought these ideas were great. I take a pink bag (you know who you are) that dear friends sent me, a fleece, warm socks, my pillow, eyemask, ear plugs, kindle fire, ginger ale, peanut butter crackers, and, of course, my princess wand that Bella gave me. What do you bring?…

OT-Olympics
I turn on NBC the olympics are suppose to start in 10 minutes. The local newscast is reporting all the results from all venues so far. It is ruining the olympics. It is like walking into a movie and being told the ending when you get your ticket. Cant believe how frustrating this is! If they cant wait to report, then maybe…
