Funny/Lame cancer experience

I just joined CSN about a week ago- her'e a sort of funny story from the blog I've started on CSN:

My wife walked out on me in the middle of my treatment for prostate cancer (that's not funny!) She was suppose to be my ride to/from the hospital for two different day surgery seed implants. I had my ex (prior wife) take me instead- very nice of her. She really helped me out in a tough time. A little irony can be be enjoyable.

T-shirt slogans we would love to see

There are a lot of cancer slogans for T-shirts to be found on the internet. Having had a go round with surgery for prostate cancer, and now having a recurrence, I was looking for somethng regarding prostate cancer. I saw the "Piss on Prostate Cancer" T-shirts,  but for a lot of prostate surviviors, that shirt isn't quite right.

Chemo inspired joke.

Xeloda and being a dentist gave me pretty bad muscle spasms in my back and heat was very good for it. Now that I'm getting more 5-FU I figured I'll invest in an Electric Heating Pad. So I went to the medical supply store and the sales man presented me with two products.

He said: "This is a German product it's $189, but it will last you 20 years easy."

I thought: "Well, I'm a cancer patient. Even though I'm young at 48, but I have cancer so probably I won't need this pad for that long."

"Do you have anything less expensive?" I asked.

Uplifting/inspirational story of my best friend, a young aspiring writer with cancer who manages to find humor in his daily life

Hi there.  My best friend was diagnosed with cancer four weeks ago. It's a very aggressive form of Lymphoma, but they caught it early and started chemo right away and so far he has been responding surprisingly well.

looking forward to 1st chemo

Discussing the possible side effects and costs of upcoming chemo treatment for my husband, my girlfriend remarks, "Oughtta just put him on intravenous heroin; he'll like it better and it's cheaper." I almost wet my pants, so did my husband when I relayed the message. We refer to it often these days. (we don't use illegal substances around here, that's why it was so funny & off the wall)
