Description

The purpose of the Gynecological Cancer Research Network is to assist the medical community in its investigational (non-clinical) research efforts about gynecological cancer prevention, risk assessment, and early detection. It is our hope to build a network of people who are willing to be called upon whenever the medical community needs participants for investigational studies – to assist them in finding answers more quickly and less expensively, and to make their funding dollars go further. If this model works, it could be used as the prototype for developing similar panels for other diseases, allowing researchers easier, quicker access to hard-to-reach target populations.

In the initial stages, we'll be blogging on topics to gauge interest.

Ovations for the cure is a great site that supports reseach, awareness, and patient outreach. They sponsor several awareness events throughout the country that are free to OVCA patients. The site includes lots of good links to other helpful sites. There's a nice shopping area whose proceeds go towards ovarian cancer research. The "Happy Feet" program will send you a beautiful pair of Steward Weitzman shoes if you send a request!

I ordered from this site when it became apparent that I would need headcoverings. The selection is outstanding and the service was quick. Not only can you find items that might be difficult to find elseware the service was fast. Compared to what I would have to pay for a scarf at a local store (even Target!) the prices were reasonable and the quality comparable to items I could puchase at a high end store in the mall.
