When I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, I tried seeking out books on the subject. I was a bit disappointed to learn that there wasn't a whole bunch of written information to choose from. However, I found Lorna Brunelle's "Dirty Bombshell: From Thyroid Cancer Back to Fabulous!" book truly invaluable. It has valuable information, light humor, dark humor, poignant reflections, and everything in between! In 2 weeks I'll be receiving my I-131 radioactive treatment and I'm happy to say that I am less afraid and more informed than I was before reading this book. Lorna's eloquent ability to chronicle all of her fears, vulnerabilities, and experiences in this book has made thyroid cancer a lot less intimidating. Thank you, Lorna and God bless!
