a cancer survivalist's MUST HAVE. if you plan on making it and really giving it your all and can take on the challange of diving into a world of new eats, recipes and vitamins the natural way, this book is my favorite! it even comes with a dvd to make the book a bit easier to get around in. it explains whats all in vitamins and what they are for. the book explains foods why and why not.it simply explains the why you should and should not of almost everythhing you put in your body. and it also touches on cancer and how it kinda started in you.

I just watched the CNN with Larry King and discovered a book that I would like to share with those that would be willing to try alternative medicine. I am going to try Barnes and Nobel to find out if they have this or can order it.

Knock Out

Michael's Journey is a book I just published. It is my diary of the past five years of my son, Michael's, recovery from brain cancer. Michael was 13 when he got suddenly ill and is now 18 and has been five years cancer free. Even though Michael walks with a walker now, that doesn't stop his drive for life. He is an inspiration to everyone he meets. This book was written to inspire other families.

Description

When Alesia Shute was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 7, her life was redirected as was that of her entire family. She would go on to survive six major surgeries that had never been tested on a child, several minor surgeries and countless hours of pain and months of hospitalization. Alesia had to grow up quickly and adjust to being sickly and different from others. Everything is Okay is her story of survival that details not only her recovery, but also her struggles through school, boys, marriage, and pregnancy, with some hilarious tales of business to boot.

This book chronicles my journey, as a wife and mother of three young sons, through two bouts with breast cancer. I relate how I was able to juggle a full-time professional job with treatments and parenting. Included are chapters on beauty tips, journaling, support groups, how to relate to cancer survivors, and the particularly demanding challenges of lymphedema, a little-known complication of breast cancer surgery and/or radiation.

Really good book to read if you are just beginning to find information on your type of cancer. It is a generic book meaning that it doesn't address a specific kind of cancer.
