Leg weekness paralysis

Two weeks out of surgery for rectal cancer. Stage 2. Already completed radiation and first round of chemo. Legs very week, especially the right. Also numbness from ankle to knee on right. Tumor was located against the rectal muscle. Surgeon said got clear margins. Permanent colostomy. Just didn't know it was going to effect my mobility so much. On walker. Also 13 yr breast cancer survivor. The two not related. Feeling alone. Anyone have the same problem?

Weakness in the legs after radiation treatment seems to be a common side effect.  Sometimes numbness and tingling in the extremities can be a side effect of the chemo.  If you haven't brought these issues to the attention of your doctors, I would suggest doing that.  Best wishes to you for resolution of this.
