CYRAMZA AND FATIGUE

My dad just started a Cyramza drip on Januray 20th. The last few days hes been experiencing EXTREME fatigue. As in, he falls asleep sitting up...nods out while doing things like filling out paperwork or buttoning his shirt. He literally cannot keep his eyes open. Its REALLY bothering him and he reached out to his primary care doc to ask for "something to help with that" as in...yet ANOTHER pill. Well, my dad was having heart issues before starting the Cyramza, and, one of the side effects of this medicine is high blood pressure , of which my dad is already on meds for ....in any case, when he called his Dr , his Dr told him he would bring him something the next day. ( My dads primary care lives real close to him) But...my dad didnt say what he was bringing him. I contacted his PC today and asked him, and he said he planned on brining my dad a STIMULANT!!! What???

One of the side effects of this Cyramza is fatigue, but your supposed to let your oncologist know if it gets real bad. My dad didnt do that, he asked his Primary care to help him out and how he planned on doing that is by giving him a stimulant.

My dad simply cannot have stimulants...the fact that I had to TELL his doctor this is beyond frustrating. I told him, do NOT bring him a stimulant. Instead tell him, if hes tired to sleep. In the meantime Im trying to follow up with his oncologist about the fatigue , but I wanted to reach out here and see if anyone else had this happen, and if so, what did you do for it? Weve read about possible aniema and low magnesium levels can be issues that are associated with chemo and energy levels.

Dads been pretty bad , hes exausted and cranky as hell. Kind of lashing out at my mom who dont deserve it. I could use a hand here.

Thanks guys. :(
