I am starting Faslodex next week.  2  500 mg shots every 2 weeks for 3 weeks and then once a month. Any advice on what to expect.. My lobular breast cancer came back after 4 1/2 years and  I also had MMMT uterine in 2014. Thanks for your help. Sue

    I had Faslodex
    1. Hi...I was on Faslodex over a year ago. I didn't do well with any of the anti-hormone drugs ad I have the Pleomorphic type of Lobular Breast Cancer. I do better with the oral chemo drugs. I tolerated getting the shots in my buttocks but I had nausea and just didn't feel well on the drug. Everyone's different though. I wish you good luck with
    2. it. What dones MMMT stand for?   Take care!    Kats2

MMMT in my case means uterine

MMMT in my case means uterine carinosarcoma. I have had 3 shots now and also started IBrance and my CA27.29 blood test numbers came down.  So fara so good. I am tired sometime and they are keepineg a eye on my white and red blood counts levels because the are low.

    Faslodex

I have had several rounds of Faslodex, first alone and now with Ibrance added.   I had very few side effects with Faslodex alone.  The shots aren't that bad but I did have some fatigue.   THe Ibrance has caused bad fatigue and now mouth sores that are keeping me awake.   I will get some magic mouthwash on Monday when they are back in the office.

    im on faslodex and Ibrance,

im on faslodex and Ibrance, on my 3rd cycle of Ibrance and have had faslodex injections today and this is my 4th, the shots hurt and are sore for about a day or two but nothing crazy, i am very fatigued and nausea is a beast but i still work full time 12 hour shifts at night. Zofran is amazing for nausea and no S/E and i might throw up one or two times when i first take the Ibrance but i feel great on the week off of it. no mouth sores or hair loss . thank you Lord. just fatigue and nausea. good luck.
