Hello - I want to speak with a 2nd oncologist about my hormone therapy (Stage 2, had lumpectomy and radiation). Any advice on how to tell my oncologist that I want a 2nd opinion? Anyone BTDT? Thanks!

    2nd opinion is normal

When I originally requested a second opinion my breast specialist was not insulted.  Instead she recommended where I should go for the opinion.  I did not go with her advice but I assure you it is completely normal and accepted to let your doctor know you want a second opinion.  Please make an informed choice.  Best, Sharon

Always good to get the second opinion or a third even!

If your doc is secure in his or her self, they will not mind in fact they will encourage it.
