in Uterine/Endometrial Cancer #1

Yea!!! Got my surgery date ,everyone is on board for May 13 th at noon for combined surgery. (dancing while I type) Hope I don't cry later when I am off my good news' high', I am high as a kite and feel as brave as brave can be, I have begged for it , reasoned for it, argued for it,Pouted for it, silently cursed for it,NOW  I am gonna get  it, comes what may. Today the feeling of empowerment is intoxicating.Hope nothing gets in my way between now and then.

To all my sisters and brother 'Mr Man' I thank you for all the support given throughout my journey.I am embarking on the unknown but staying brave is  something I have mastered. I have come out of Nuff darkness to emerge as a brave fearless warrior,Cancer won't stop me now, can't stop me now.I remain on a 'hug life' roll.

In this month I'll get my 'crazy' on and celebrate life ,love,Disasters ,troubles,tears,mental pain,  laughter and all that jazz that makes up my colorful life.I will embrace and celebrate it all, as I prepare to step into a whole new life On May 13th, Darn it it's unlucky 13 , maybe it's crying time.LOL. Me not crying.happy is in the house.

Moli-feeling Haaaapy and hugging the girls who are not 'Me' today. I am hugging sisters ,please, please imagine it.

    Yes, you are a brave warrior.  You know what you want and don't listen to standard procedures.  And you know what, I think many of the times that is better than standard.  May 13th will be a good day, my son found out he had cancer on a Friday the 13th and he is 35 years down the road, I also found out of my cancer on a Friday the 13th, and am doing good.  I believe every day is a good day.  Hugs Nancy

    Nancy,Yes I do think difference is ok.

    If nothing it teaches us. If I reach the 5yr mark doing it my way I will have won, the original Oncologists gave me 1to 2 years to survive this. and certainly 1 yr if I don't take Chemo.I am now 2 years since surgery with no treatment.There may well be several small tumors surfacing in me but my focus is on the 2 large ones impacting my intestine and possibly other organs.The doctors may open and close me without touching anything because of numbers or conditions, I am braced for that ,at least they will have looked with the naked eyes.I'll be satisfied .

    Thanks for the reassurance on Friday the 13th. Incidentally, when I said the 13th I didn't think of it being Friday ,just didn't think of the double whammy until you mentioned, Hahaha!! no wonder that date is available in the operating rooms, too funny.

    And it's less than a month away.  Yes, Moli, you do indeed have a colorful life and I doubt that it will be any less colorful any time soon.  Paint in broad swaths and color outside the lines!

    Stay strong  my sister but most of all I am hoping you stay NED.

    Lou Ann I am trying for NED

    If not forever then until I am sans eyes,sans ears, sans everything then I won't give a darn.I am trying to keep them all at bay for a long ,long time.

    I also wish for  you to hook-up with NED in a hurry. I am praying wishing hoping.

    I  must share that today I have learnt that not everything works on my own terms , I was very excited and happy so Satan hating that  told me that I need to take  before pictures  of my soon to be gone southern bound belly , so I asked my girlfriend to take the pictures for me ,I prepared for pics. in a kind of speedo looking thing that I figured would give the desired look ,to compare with the after pics. one look at my hanging out loud belly and she said "I am not taking any pictures of that" I asked why,here is her answer "because if the police finds them I will be charged with taking  very gross porn pictures , and I mean very gross ,you better find another photographer"  I tell you sisters if she was my half best friend I would have knocked  all her teeth out , but she is my full best friend so I couldn't ,wouldn't,  but not to be outdone  I said (knowing full well she hates her behind)' Too bad they don't have surgery for behinds that goes on and on for days" She fell on the couch convulsing in laughter and I had to use the door frame to hold me up , both of us had pain in the rib cage afterwards. As she left my driveway she turned around , looked at me and did the pretend motion of taking a picture . the laughter started again with her driving away and me in the driveway holding my rib cage convulsing. I guess I'll have to do a selfie if the desire surfaces again,

    What a great day ,what great friend, life stopped by me today.Happy I am alive.

    Ps: To all, if your belly is already heading south,speedo is not for you.Nothing from the speedo family will be put on my person ever again.

    My STRENGTH and the ability to SMILE even under pressure comes from the STAR power of everyone posting on this board and those regretably  gone from us, because they told me I could find myself again, I found me in a hurry, found peace of mind and begun to live again.
