HI sisters in pink,

I had double mastectomy surgery 10-26.  Not doing reconstruction.  Incisions are closed and still wearing compression bra until Tuesday.  Able to shower now instead of sponge bath and drains have been removed.  Do you think there is any harm in applying lubriderm lotion to the chest and incisions?

You should really call your surgeon and ask them. It is really your surgeon's decision as to what you can do and when. Give them a call on Monday and see what the surgeon says.

    Completely agree with Cinnamon

I also had a bilateral mastectomy, no reconstruction, earlier this year -- as I was recovering, I was often surprised by what my surgeon said was okay and not okay and when.  But he always had a good reason, based on his years of experience performing this surgery on many women, and I trusted his judgement.  I didn't start using any lotions until he gave the okay, and I really recommend that you check in with him (or perhaps his nurse?) first.
