Hi everyone, I got an e-mail from Keitter yesterday that was not so good, She is down hurting trying to deal with the bad news the doctors gave her. They told her she had at best 12 months to live.

Please keep praying for her, because the doctors don’t have the last word, the last word is with God up above. There is a power when we pray and when Gods people prayer together they can move mountains

God Blessing to you all

Tim

Thank you Tim for the update. Yes it is very bad news, but we still need to know. She has been such a trouper and fought so hard. Sometimes you just say WHY? Kritter has always been in my thoughts and prayers, but i'll step it up some more.

2015 has been a really bad year for so many. At least I got to know her and she has touched many lives, she will be blessed. Please tell her hello

I got another e-mail this week from Kritter she is holding her own and trying to do the best she can. Doctors started her on a new Chemo called Carboplatin but it gave her a lot of pain and made her stomach sick but she is doing a little better now. Just please keep praying for her.

    God Bless you all

    Another option?

Hello, I previously posted  a similar post under a different heading. I, obviously am a big fan of immunotherapy. Good luck!!

Hello, I do not post often but do read the posts. I was originally diagnosed in 2012  with SCC stage IV tonsil cancer with lymph node involvement on both sides of neck. I had a modified bilateral (ear to ear) neck dissection. No chemo or rads as I had those for lymphoma 20 years prior. I was NED a until a recurrance in 2013. After refusing treatment, I was given 6 months to live and by March 2014 was coughing up a good amount of blood and feeling the tumor getting bigger. In April 2014 I joined a clinical trial for MEDI4736 at The Angeles Clinic in Los Angeles with Dr. Ani Balmanoukian (The trial is offered in other places). 1 hour infusions 2X/month with practically no side effects (some itching for 2-3 weeks) The trial lasted a year and to date I'm NED. About MEDI4736: MEDI4736 is a human monoclonal antibody directed against programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1). Signals from PD-L1 help tumours avoid detection by the immune system. MEDI4736 blocks these signals, countering the tumour’s immune-evading tactics. MEDI4736 is being developed, alongside other immunotherapies (IMTs), to empower the patient’s immune system and attack the cancer.

I"m more than happy to answer questions if you would like.

    Hi Tim

Trying to spread the word regarding immunotherapy. The FDA has approved Keytruda, an anti PDL1 drug to treat non small cell lung cancer and in combination with another drug for melanoma with other cancers right aroung the corner. Times are changing fast and I'm thankful new treatments with less toxicity and side effects are in the process of getting approved. I've read many of your posts and I know you understand the power of hope and prayer. I beleive these new drugs will answer a lot of prayers.

Thanks for all your support on this site; you probably have no idea how many peoples' lives you have affected and enriched...including mine.

    Hi louhou13

I am very happy that you are here and I will forward your post to Kritter. Right she is hoping that this new chemo will have some effect on the cancer and slow it down at the least. Thanks for keeping up with us as we all need help at sometime or the other.
